Biktarvy and insomnia?

Anyone on Biktarvy have any issues with insomnia?  I was on Triumeq but had issues with insomnia.  Switched back to my old meds .... now am considering Biktarvy.

I am on biktarvy. wkae up every morning at 2 and cant sleep again.  I started smoking weed and that helps.  I fall asleep as soon as I have one puff from oil cathridge. before that I would stay up till 6 or so and by then it would be time to go to work so I felt exhausted

Before this clinical trial, I experienced bad insomnia with tenofovir and emtricitabine. Did two sleep studies and they couldn't figure it out.  Wasn't until May of last year when I was on a regimine without either of those and my sleep drastically improved.

so strange, i just went from 10 years of atripla straight to biktarvy, my joints ache, hand tingles, shoulder hurts and now i'm nausea and cannot sleep...anyone else have this?

Welcome to the forum, sorry to hear about the suspected Biktarvy problems you are experiencing. Have you spoken to your ID doctor about this? If it does not settle and bothers you than perhaps a switch to something more suited might be in order.

I have been taking Biktarvy for two months after many years on a similar regimen of Truvada and Isentress and so far have noticed no side effects.  I sleep well and feel good.

I've been on Biktarvy a few weeks and been waking up after dreams, but it mainly seems to be thoughts about my forthcoming wedding.

I practice 5 minutes or so of mindfulness and back off to sleep.

I was on Atripla for 10 years with good success. Im 58 and as I got older my sleep patterns did change. I would wake up more frequently, but fall back asleep...generally more fitful nights. Pretty vivid dreams too.
I switched to Biktarvy in January thinking my sleep might improve....Hasn't at all...and still vivid dreams. I think it has to do more with age than anything else.

I took Atripla for 12 years then I was put on blood thinners and had to stop Atripla since it interacted with the Xeralto was put on Genvoya and had very bad headache and stomach problems so I was switched to Triumeq. I took Triumeq for over a year but had a lot of problems like extreme tiredness, muscle ace, loosed muscle mass in arms and trouble sleeping at night. Now taking Biktarvy and the only problem I have is dry eyes when I wake up in the morning, I have problem see the time on my VCR due to the dry eyes. Will see my eye doctor next week to see if it’s something else then the Biktarvy. Otherwise I love this drug, all my previous side effects are gone.
