How long do you have? What country do you land in? What are your interests?

My interests are eclectic.  Enjoying food, culture, art, history,  enjoying a club or two.  Meeting interesting new people.

Wow lucky you - what a tour!

Palaces -
Versailles - check to see a day they will run the fountains and go
Chambord
The Alhambra if you happen to be going that far!
Spencer House in London
Hampton Court
Blenheim Palace
the Royal Pavilion in Brighton

Italy Italy Italy Italy Italy
Everyday in Italy is a treat, wherever you go, and you don't even have to go to major cities but of course Venice Venice Venice.  Venice is an otherworldly dream especially if you can be lazy there and spend time away from the most touristy sections. Even go to the Lido, or small islands, eat seafood.  Cinque Terre is also out of this world, but more of a place to stay a few days and with a lover.   Florence, and all the little northern cities, too - for everything in your list.

Or head straight to Rome and stay in the South and see Naples or even Sicily.

If it manages to get hot and sunny in Amsterdam while you are there, there are actually some cool beaches.  Not what you'd think of doing in Holland but the Dutch country side is SO unique you'll want to get out of the city and be sure to experience it doing something.  Even get a bike and ride outside of Amsterdam.

Barcelona - Sitges for party, sea sex sun. Yeah food in Barcelona, but pricey.

London might give you sticker shock, too, be prepared.

Chambord

I can definitely recommend Château de Chambord in the Loire Valley. There is a double helix staircase in Château de Chambord that is simply amazing and one-of-a-kind. The house where Leonardo da Vinci lived in his latter years and where he died (Château du Clos Lucé, in Amboise) is just a bit further to the east along the Loire and is also worth a look.

In the UK I'd recommend Liverpool over London - it's a very vibrant city these days and at a fraction of the price of London. Liverpool was the European Capitol of Culture in 2008. The people are very down-to-earth and friendly and you're sure to make a few friends in any pub or club you visit. There are also quite a few museums in Liverpool, including a Tate. Another fascinating city in the UK is York. Loads of history, great pubs and friendly locals.

If you have the time, a jaunt over to the Isle of Man (in the Irish Sea) is an idea as well - accessible via ferry or flight from Liverpool (flights also available from the London area and a few other cities). It's where I live, so I have an insider's knowledge of good places to hang out (PM me if you're interested).

Also, the world famous TT motorcycle road-races run through the last week in May/first week in June. Great fun and loads of leather-clad eye-candy in every single pub. Friendly locals as well - hiv and gay friendly, I might add. Loads of history here too - there are two castles on the island, one practically on my doorstep.

Amsterdam is fantastic too - there's something there for everyone and anyone. There's so much more to the city than coffee shops and the red-light district!

Hope you have a great time regardless of where you go.

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts

Agree with ail that's been said and the Dutch country side is full off delights.

Would put in a good word for London , but be prepared it can bring you to your knees and not in a good way. So if that is ever the case head up to Kenwood House, walk past House up the hill to the highest point and enjoy the view.Another calmer in London take the River boat/bus, just the regular one you do not need take the the tourist ones, from Westminster to Greenwich , potter awhile and return.

I would say contact me but I will be in Orkney, and even I would admit that is a rare love.
