Hairy tongue
« on: May 28, 2012, 02:24:55 pm »
hi

+- 10 days after a sexual risque i got a hairy tong.
i did 3 times a hiv test (3th generation) 1 at "6 weeks", 1 at "8 weeks" and 1 at "10 weeks and 4 days".

i  went last friday  to a oral specialist and when she saws my month (hairy tongue) she asked if i did a hiv test.  now i'm very afraid. (i think she refered to OHL)

i don't know what i need to think    :( :(

i got oral problems...hairy tongue,  white color, and it's does pain.
i got  many large papilles.
the papilles on the front of my tong (many, are great and red)
my cheeks (don't know if it the right word (i used google translate), my  palate does also pain.
on my lips (upper lip, in both angels) i got little white points.
some parts of gums (gums at toots at back in the mouth)

like i said, the pain is almost constantly (kind of burn pain) on the front of my tongue, back of my tongue, my cheeks (left and right), gums and palate and i got also pain in my gore.

1)Do u think that my oral problems got a link with hiv? (if u know that i did 3 hiv test, the last hiv test ( at 10 weeks and 4 days after the risk) (the oral problems started at +- 7 a 10 days after the risk)...  doesn't the test not detect the antibodies if u know that the time between these oral problems and my las test is more then 8 weeks and a few days.

2)Does OHL make pain?? and if yes, does it make pain at several different places in the mouth? (tongue, palate, checkes, gums, throat)

3)Do u think my vih test (3th generation) are good? (100%)
i read many times that 12 weeks is theorical...and that 8 weeks gives 100 % certitude...what is your opinion about this, plz?

My english is not super..i used for some words "google translate". my apologies of errors.

i hope u answer my questions and that u give u opinion about my problems and if it could be OHL (hiv)

thx

OHL is not HIV specific. Symptoms or lack of will never tell you anything about your status you can test 3 months post exposure for your conclusive test result.

Mikeyy, that's great news about your negative test result. Yes, you are HIV negative and can get on with your life now. There's no need for any further testing.

Just remember about always using condoms for intercourse in the future. No exceptions.

Cheers.

■Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusive negative result,  or no-risk situation will be subject to a four week Time Out (a temporary ban from the Forums). If you continue to post excessively after one Time Out, you may be given a second Time Out which will last eight weeks. There is no third Time Out - it is a permanent ban. The purpose of a Time Out is to encourage you to seek the face-to-face help we cannot provide on this forum.

Rapidrod means that in no possible way did your car accident cause a situation (unless that accident caused you to have organ transplants) that would delay antibodies.

You do not have an HIV concern here.
"Many people, especially in the gay community, turn to oral sex as a safer alternative in the age of AIDS. And with HIV rates rising, people need to remember that oral sex is safer sex. It's a reasonable alternative."

Yes, you are conclusively HIV negative. And you can avoid any problems with HIV in terms of sexual risk in the future by always without exception using condoms for vaginal and anal intercourse.

hello again.

I'm still worry..

One more little thing...

i'm sure i got oral leukoplakie (the docter asked 2 weeks ago if i did a test)

i'm still afraid becuz of my weakend system..i got a few years a heavyheavy car accident...(many months in clinics) and my immume system is still not as be4 the accident.
-Is there a probability that i make slow antibodies (reason: weakend immunitair system)
-OHL, did u seen this be4 in the first months of an hiv infection?
-About OHL, do u know if OHL  gives a burning sensation on tongue throat,..?

thx (this is my last post..i don't wanna be banned  ;D)

Whatever is going on with you symptomatically has nothing to do with HIV. You are reliably HIV negative. If your symptoms continue you should discuss them with your doctor.

I am now giving you a 28 day Time Out which you have been warned about. You are HIV negative and there is nothing more we can do for you in this setting. Don't make the mistake of trying to get around the TO by starting a new account. We will spot that right off and it will get you banned permanently.

HIV is not your problem. Get on with your life.
