Seeing a starbucks in a funeral home might make a dismal day even worse, but thats just me.  However, I think a lot of people find mass uniformity and ubiquitousness comforting and safe.  I can occasionally feel this way - for example when I see a McDonald's open on a late night rainy highway.  At least you can get something warm and tasty, cheap and comforting.

Somehow I knew that this would be in the South before clicking on the link. There's a mega-church in a suburb of Dallas that has had a Starbucks for the past seven years.
