Title: open to suggestions
Post by: Tricialuko on July 08, 2012, 11:11:25 am
i teted positive in 2006 while in prison. i now have aids...and in a way it has been a blessing. as strange as that may sound. today i am clean and sober going on my 1 yr anniversary or " birthday" as we say in n/a. now that i have a new life and new friends, i realize that, tho sober, i have no purpose in life. which leaves me bored much of the time and a bored addict is in alot of trouble. so i asked myself what i'd like to do? i came to realize that getting involed in aids advocating would not only make me happy and keep me out of trouble, it serves a purpose for me and countless others. i live in southern new jersey where alot of options for the hiv community are limited. so if any one can offer me alitte advice on how to get started i would so thankful. im open to all suggestions

I am sure there is an HIV/AIDS foundation in your area or not far from there that does help those living with HIV. Start with one of those groups and volunteer.
