hello guys,
pls kindly help me out ,i want to take some organic food and juice including herbal tea like (CAMOMILE TEA,AND APPLE CIDER VINEGAR) i want to mix the apple cder with honey to drink after my combo or any of this juice i mention,so my question are ,is't good to my hiv meds or can it interact with my medication ? pls help

Without knowing what combo it is, it's impossible to say. Either read the prescribing information (it should be available on the drug manufacturer's web sites) or call your doctor and ask.

hello physician
my combo is sustiva, tenofovir, lamuvidine, and my girlfriend is kaletra, tenofovir, lamuvidine

Sanitex, I would talk to the pharmacist. They usually seem to know more about medication than the doctors.

sanitex,
I'm pretty sure that pozzies should stay away from St. Johns Wort, as it can lower the amount of certain drugs in the system. A good tool on here is the 'Check my Meds' which is in the treatment section of this site. When checked my boyfriends meds, it advised to stay away from grapefruit juice. It all depends on what combo you are on. Read the leaflet that comes with your meds carefully and better yet as someone else suggested, go to the actual website for the drug. Good luck and just make sure to tell your Doctor about any herbs and supplements you take.

Apple Cider Vinegar was a HIV "alternative treatment" before effective chems. My dentist has warned me that no one should be drinking regularly something that acidic. It will destroy your teeth. And it won't cure AIDS either.

You can eat organic foods and drink herbal tea or apple cider vinegar if you're HIV-positive.
but i'm still waiting for other qeustion concerning (aloe vela juice)may be by tomorrow i'll get the answer.thanks

I've never seen any research about Aloe Vera Juice helping. Organic foods are great but they don't take the place of meds unfortunately.

There are no known interactions between HIV meds and the food supplements you list. There are also no proven benefits (or disbenefits) to the apply vinegary tea you brew.

hello guys
what kind of diet is good to lose weight cause i'm gaining more weight.i want try
(slimmy tea brand )to get my weight in other,so does slimmy tea has any effect to meds?
-
well-balanced diet and lots of exercise.
when your doctor says that you are quite healthy, that might be the time to try a weight reduction diet - usually that means high protein, and complex carbohydrates. A lot of "diets" are faddish and not recommended. The best diet is all the food you eat gives you the nutrition you need, but not a lot of extra calories. And exercise, to use energy, and build a body that doesn't get fat so easily.
