I need assistance!!!! Massage gone wrong....

Hello all.  I have been extremely worried about an encounter I had at a massage parlor 2 months ago.  I have posted my situation on other websites, but would like some input from other people. 
Here is the scenario:  Two months ago, I visited a so called massage parlor/ girls apartment.  I recieved a back massage with baby oil for 35 minutes, then flipped over and recieved manual stimulation and release.   There was no exchange of fluids, no kissing, touching, insertion, etc... only manual stimulation.  Two days later, I developed a cough and mild pain/discomfort in the liver area.  Two weeks later, I saw my physician for the cough and she diagnosed me as having bronchitis and placed me on an antibiotic.  The cough finally subsided but the pain in the liver persisted.  I did not have swollen lymphs, rash, HA, diarrhea, etc... This event would be my only risk factor and I know she had a client before me...
After 7-8 weeks of having the liver pain, I decided to have an acute hepatitis test done.  All tests came back negative.  However, Hep c came back as having an ab of 0.1 which is still under the threshold of a positive result-->so it is considered to be negative.  Now, it has been 9 weeks since possible exposure.  This past friday, I went for pcr testing for both HIV 1 and HEP C.  The test results are not going to be in until tues-weds.  Can someone let me know their thoughts as far as my risk factors involved, possible cause of symptoms, or if you know of anyone with similar issues or symptoms?  Any info would be greatly appreciated.... We can't diagnose any symptoms here. What I can tell you is that nothing you have described would have put you at risk for HIV transmission.

Just so you know for the future,  the only confirmed risks for the sexual transmission of HIV are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. As long as you always use condoms for those activities you will be well protected.

Whatever is going on with you symptomatically has nothing to do with HIV.

I don't see any need for HIV testing nor do I see any likelihood of Hep C from what you have described of that incident.

Hi Andy, Thanks for replying to my post.  I normally wouldn't be concerned over this incident, but the liver pain is most likely due to inflammation from some viral infection.  The pain can be a dull full feeling to sharper pains and usually the pain starts in the front (upper right quadrant) and wraps around to my back.  I forgot to mention that I do suffer from a very mild form of jaundice in my schlera's and some fatty lipid deposits have been forming adjacent to my iris on my schlera since the incident.

I hope that the liver pain is going to be due to gall stones, or biliary obstruction or something like that.  Unfortunately, its too much of a coincidence that two days post massage I begin to experience the liver tenderness.  I am mostly concerned with the previous clients fluids and if they contaminated any of the towels or bedding that came into contact with my body.

The only real coincidence is that you are linking the symptoms with HIV, with absolutely no basis in HIV science. Which is what happens not infrequently when someone becomes anxious about a sexual episode. But again, you absolutely were not at risk.

I posted on medhelp.org and this website to update my status for informational purposies.
I am just providing an update to a post I submitted last week.  The scenario- massage parlor and manual release.  I just completed a home access test and recieved the results today.  It has been approximately 58 days since possible exposure and the elisa came back as negative.  I am due to recieve the results on two pcr tests I took for Hep C and HIV.  (My main ongoing concern is hepatomegaly- CC: tenderness in liver, slight jaundice, aphthous ulcers in my mouth).  I will post the update of the pcr tests on thursday when they come in.

     From your experience on this forum, would you feel comfortable with a 58 day elisa result of negative or is this considered to soon for a reliable test.  Thanks again for your time.

I've merged  your previous with your latest thread. In the future please follow our rule and keep all of your entries in this same thread.

It's no surprise you tested negative for HIV. You didn't do anything that put you at risk for HIV. You've wasted your worrying and your money. And by the way PCR tests were never designed for diagnostic purposes although it's irrelevant in your case since you had no risk. And of course your symptoms are not in any way HIV-related.

We deal only with HIV here so any concerns you have about Hep C are something you need to discuss with your doctor.   

There is no need for further HIV testing. HIV is not your issued. Period.
