what is my risk ?

There is no risk for HIV transmission from what you describe. Other STD's like chlamydia and gonorrhoea can be transmitted this way.

do i have to worry?

About HIV, no not because of this specific incident.

do i have to test?

Not for HIV as a result of this incident. Sexually actice people should have a full STD screen at least twice a year. A full screen includes an HIV test. If you haven't had a screen in a while or if you've never had one, then get one.

can i have sex with my wife ?

You can work this out for yourself from my preceeding answers. Please read our Welcome Thread (http://forums.poz.com/index.php?topic=220.0).

Hi Alex,

You were not at risk for HIV from receiving a blowjob. There's never been a documented case of transmission in this manner and it's safe to say trillions of blowjobs later, you aren't going to make history by becoming the first.

Other STDs are another matter and there are some which can be passed along through getting a blowjob. It would be a good idea to have a full panel of STDs done by your doctor.

As to having sex with your wife, I'd say get the STD tests done first to be sure you didn't pick up anything during this incident.

This is not an HIV situation so you can rest easy in relation to that.

By the way, the others who respond to questions here are all well informed and experienced in relation to HIV.

Cheers,

Title: broken condom
Post by: alex11 on December 15, 2006, 08:39:52 am
hi , i want to know if i really need to test or not, thats all !

it happened after i put the condom and i was inserting my penis inside her vagina , and because her vagina was so dry , so while i'm inserting my penis i felt that the condom is broken , immidiately i pulled up my penis and the condom was really gone, ok what i remember that time, i was only inserting for the first time, when i felt the condom is broken half of my penis was inside her vagina, after i pulled my penis i squeezed it from the tip and a white drop of some liquid came out and immidiately i pissed.

the time between the condome broke and i pulled my penis was less than 1 second, the time between i pulled my penis and pissed was less than 20 seconds.

what is my risk, do i need to test for HIV.

I'm married and i dont want to put my wife in risk.

thanks

Alex,

I've merged your new thread into your original thread - where you should post all your additional thoughts or questions. It helps us to help you when you keep all your additional thoughts or questions in one thread.

If you need help finding your thread when you come here, click on the "Show own posts" link under your name in the left-hand column of any forum page.

Please also read through the Welcome Thread (http://forums.poz.com/index.php?topic=220.0) so you can familiarize yourself with our Forum Posting Guidelines. Thank you for your cooperation.

It's very unlikely that you would become infected from what you describe. VERY unlikely. However, the only way to know for sure is to test.

You should read through the condom and lube links in my signature line. A correctly used condom rarely breaks.

You have already been given your assessment. You need to test and you need to have protected sex with your wife until you get your results.

RapidPod , i know i need to test , but i need to know , my chances , is it like somebody who had unprotected sex , or like any other low risk incidents. i mean is it a low risk ot high risk incident.

and i'll use condom with my wife.

It was just a risk. Lower than not using one at all.
