HIV/AIDS activism in Toronto
« on: August 14, 2006, 02:20:37 am »
I was wondering if anyone knew of any organizations or efforts going on in the GTA for HIV/AIDS education and activism. I want to get involved, but am not sure where to start.

You can start at the Aids Committee of Toronto:

http://www.actoronto.org/

Then there's the Toronto People With Aids site:(PWA)

http://www.pwatoronto.org/fr_index.htm

These two sites will get you started.  Good luck!

There is a lot to be done, but there’s precious little concrete activism in Toronto.

Look to Canadian Treatment Action Council (ctac.ca), which is an effective lobby group,
and Canadian AIDS Treatment Information Exchange (catie.ca) for educational information.

Good luck!
