This is the most memorable Pride New Yorker cover since June 17, 1996 when they did a take on the iconic Alfred Eisenstaedt Times Square Victory WWII photo and changed the kissers to two sailors. Love that and have had it hanging in my bathroom since it was a newbie.
What is additionally great is this means that Sesame Street/Henson & Co. is down with Bert and Ernie's images being used. Way to go!

Yeaa!!!!!!!!
May be this is little late to celebrate but its never late!!... Being a Foreign born in the country, I am very happy and its not even that. Its all about equality - finally, I feel that I am not a second class human to straights. I mean it!
Its not that I want to get married tomorrow - its just that now I have that as an option as straight people @ federal level..
I personally salute Obama administration and everyone who has been supporting GLBTQ & HIV+ people. During Obama administration, few things has been implemented that we could not have imagined number of years ago –
***HIV testing is not required for immigration as Obama lifts 22 years old Ban on Entry into US by HIV positive people effective January 4, 2010.

***June 26, 2013 Supreme Court ruled in favors of Gay Marriage by ending DOMA. Same-sex bi-national couple can now get Green Cards.

Since this was brought back up-- I was finally getting caught up on my Colbert shows. In the episode soon after the decisions, he had the guy from SCOTUS Blog on. They were talking about how some legal scholars were saying the Prop 8 decision could be read to only apply to the 2 plaintiffs. They would get marriage equality, but it doesn't necessarily apply to all other Californians. This caused Colbert to joke about doing civil rights one person at a time.
Well, I think this is all settled now, as California is issuing marriage licenses to the gays. I suppose a group could argue this legal point, but I think this is done.
