So question, taking double dosage is okay right?  Just to make sure...

Ravhyn,

Taking double doses is NOT ok. Taking a double dose of Truvada puts a big strain on your kidneys. Will once be a problem? Probably not, but definitely don't make a habit of it. Set up a system whereby you know if you have taken your meds or not (weekly pill carrier).

Good luck,

v

One time will likely not do too much harm but as V says, you don't want to make a habit out of this. Since you are on Reyataz this might add to the jaundice, so if you get yellow you'll know what it is. Drinking more water might improve the yellowness if you do get it.

As V says, you should probably do the pill box thing. I usually fill two weekly pill boxes up at a time so I don't have to do it every week. And I recommend you get the ones that are transparent so you can see at a glance what's in there without having to open up the little compartments.

On a separate but related note: since you use Walmart for your HIV meds, as opposed to a pharmacy that specializes in HIV, you should make sure to order your refills as soon as possible every month so you won't be stuck without meds for a few days since they probably have to special order it. Maybe even build up a little supply if you can.

I have a large tray that contains seven daily removable pill boxes, and each daily box has four compartments. Because the meds I take are once daily, I fill the whole tray, which gives me a 28 day supply.

It's handy because I have to submit a prescription renewal every month, and this way I can see at a glance how much time I have before submitting my renewal. I've also taken to keeping the renewal slip in the tray too after hiding it on myself one month.

I also have one separate daily box that I use when I'm on antibiotics or other multiple dose med on a short-term basis.

I can't tell you how many times I have forgotten whether or not I took my meds. Pill-boxes are life-savers.

I just remembered, isn't it recommended that your meds (Reyataz) be taken with a meal? That can also help as far as making it part of a routine, like taking it with breakfast or whatever.
