Now that its summer in the Northern hemisphere, what will you be wearing to the beach this summer? I'm a speedo guy myself, unless I'm at the local nude beach.

Unfortunately my ass is now concave thanks to the deleterious effects of lipoatrophy from my life saving HAART. Otherwise I'd be wearing a vintage blue interlocking "G" Gucci swimsuit from the first Tom Ford collection.

I'm pretentious like that, or so I'm told.

Um, if I am going to Blacks Beach in San Diego I wear nothing. Otherwise just a normal old bathing suit, although it is Ralph Lauren because I am a bit of a label queen.

I bought something almost exactly like those in P'Town around 2000-2001, they are still my faves. I have a stretchy box-cut which is exceptionally cute but SCREAMS fag because of the color scheme.

In Ft Lauderdale we have the totally gay Sebastian Beach, which is like a sliver of Fagulous in an otherwise dreary and pedestrian tourist-saturated part of town. Further south Haulover Beach is nude and can be fun. It is primarily used by either French Canadians in their advanced years or latino cuties. Either way, it's foreskin heaven

When I took Joe to Sebastian Beach, I wore a very ordinary looking blue Janzen number of unremembered vintage from which I cut out the lining. Dry it looks like an ordinary pair of boxers, but wet, especially as I emerge from the water, it's delightfully indecent.

Oh, I've been to Haulover. ::shudder:: Loved the dividing line at the lifeguard station between Fag and Breeder. An Argentinean guy took me there that I met on the internet in the 90's, pre-mancunt. I was somewhat bored, but that was mostly due to my guide. Fortunately we returned to his Miami apartment and he hired two hugely muscular black porn stars living it FLL to come over and amuse me.

I'd much rather lounge pool side myself, preferably at the Raleigh with cocktail service running a tab. So civilized. Plus the swimming pool was used in an Esther Williams movie.

I found my only bathing suit...its now vintage because I think its at least 15 years old and in excellant condition. But alas the beaches here in Saint Louis leave much to be desired, so I would have to wear a space suit and consume alot of antibiotics before even thinking about going into the Mississippi River.

Pilot, who does like looking at hot men in speedos even now...forget the board shorts.

Really? Based on the way it's presented here in the states, one would think EVERYBODY in Australia wore a speedo. That's all you ever see them wearing on the TV here.

We've been duped by the media yet again. I can tell you from personal experience that in Brazil they wear more revealing swimwear and some women go topless.

As Bart would say, "Kids in TV land, you've been duped".

I'd guess the ratio of boardshorts to other swimming attire on our beaches would be 8 or 9 to 1.
Speedos and square cuts and all that other faggie swimwear, just wouldn't cut it in the Australian surf. I just cannot imagine how you would keep them on in the surf. Whereas, with boardshorts, you can wear them all day, to the beach, at the beach, at the cafe/pub/restaurant after. Slap on your best thongs (flip flops) and you're set for a more formal occassion like a wedding or funeral or church. They are just the most practical under our conditions.

You tend to see more speedos and the like at protected harbour beaches or by the swimming pool, but not at a surf beach. We do have topless women and nudie beaches though - we are not that prudish.

Like I said, speedos at the beach are for lifeguards and wankers
