There are 8 pets in our house as I'm living with my Mom and her husband. Luckily their pets (4 dogs and a cat) are on one side of the house, and my 3 are on the other side of a baby gate, on my side of the house.

These are my Mom's 4 dogs

(taken 11/2009)

This is Mr. Kitty, the bunny hunter

(taken 2/2011)

here's me and my 3 boyz - Joxer, Zeus, Aries
(the great-grandsons of my first cocker spaniel)

(taken 10/2009)
leatherman (aka Michael)

We were standing all alone
You were leaning in to speak to me
Acting like a mover shaker
Dancing to Madonna then you kissed me
And I think about it all the time

Ford Your kids are great, and I saw the video of them in the snow earlier this winter. They definitely seemed to be some fun-having dogs. We must have the same taste in Barbecue, I noticed your book on grilling on the bottom shelf. I have that one too. Bitchin' recipes :)

Ford I adore your babies, I still remember the video of them prancing around in the snow...just priceless.

My son and daughter-in-law breed Springer Spanials, but I don't have a photo to share, they love the snow.

Captain "The posse" are great dogs, I still have the painting of the little one you did..(.the four in one painting).

No answer from my question, no big deal realy I was just curious, so I'm going with Toy Poodle, ... a friend of mine here breeds long haired and short haired Chihuahua and they look kind of similar to that wee one.

Yes, I have given it some thought actually. Problem is, Doody really hates other birds at this point. Norm went out and got another two at Christmas thinking they would form a happy little flock. Didn't quite wok out that way. The other two are mated, and hate every one and everything except each other. I just found a new home for them recently. Doody is a real sweetie, though he does like to nuture his Inner Asshole sometimes. For the record, I did not name hime, he came pre-named by a four year old little girl. But the name suits him ;) A fun little companion to be sure.

Found some of Cinco that I can post

Cinco (who doesn't know he isn't a girl) getting humped by Rindy (who ignores the fact she's not a boy)

Cinco and Mikey. It's hard to get a good picture of Cinco. For some reason, he is afraid of the camera.

Oh yes, I understand that!  Rebel was the same way.  I got a female for him, and he didn't want anything to do with her. I ended up giving her away to a friend. Rebel only wanted me !  :)

He was also a chatterbox, and had quite a vocabulary.  He also picked up, and mimicked anything he could, from a squeaky kitchen door, the microwave oven beeping, even the answering machine.  He knew the sound of my car, when I pulled in the driveway !  :) I could hear him yelling, before I even got out of the car.

He used to sleep at the end of the bed, unfortunately he used to crap there too.   :) It wasn't uncommon to wake up, and he would be right there sitting on the pillow, staring down at me.

I love animal prints -- not easy to pull off naturally. Did they come like that or did you have the work done?

And really, should a man wearing a huge bow tie and a mohawk criticize someone's aesthetics?

I bought those chairs and ottomans in a second hand place in San Diego and they had just been redone . I like funky stuff in my house . I have a full set of antique dining room furniture that's called barley twist mixed with what ever I find that catches my eye . I also make tables out of found objects and concrete so its true I have odd taste .

haha thanks poz1970. Peter is actually very cute. He sleeps, plays, and ofcourse eats like a normal pet... granted he's eating live crickets and such, but the most fun I have with him is watching him stalk his prey. Actually I found out he is most def a female, so Peter Parker isn't appropriate and I briefly contemplated a name change to Mary Jane, but decided against it. He's 5 years old and could live upwards of 40 yrs. So he may even outlive me lol

Here's my tarantula Peter Parker
...

When I lived out in the country northwest of Austin, it wasn't unusual to see a tarantula in the back pasture from time to time.  They always seemed most disinterested in people, and intent on mission to get to wherever it was they were going.  I would also see roadrunners in the pasture too -- and occasionally on my front porch.

I don't have any darling or cute pics of a kitty or a puppy or a spider... just this shot of my hellion Matty. As you can see he likes to work out, (he can bench press 2 pounds).  He also likes to sharpen his razor sharp claws for hours at a time...all in preparation for the  planned takeover of the house (and it's master)

What a great thread.  Took me a while to read and look through it again and I loved it.  Not only are we a good looking bunch, so are our pets. ;)

My WVA granny always told me growing up to never trust people who don't love animals.  Well, I can see there are a lot of on this site.  Ms Lily is my best friend.....lol  I meant most loyal...

Great pics All!

This thread is wonderful and a howl, too. Between Miss P's Pretty Peonies winning for most low-maintenance pet and Peter Parker is perhaps the most Petrifying, this is funny! And Jan's darling Dallan looks like the kind of stuffed animal you'd want in your bedroom as a kid.

I've not had a success in uploading a photo. I may try later. I have a five-year-old Panther. Just kidding. I have a 17-year-old Hyena. No, that's not actually true, I sold the Hyena. I've got a very dear cat that joined me shortly after my dx and made my home life much sweeter---still does.

@Jan - and he is only 11 weeks old; my brother is sending him to three weeks of obedience school next week - because he is showing his ass when my brother leaves him alone even for a little bit - tearing things up at the house, etc.  He is working with a "dog whisperer" - someone who is skilled in getting dogs to obey and follow basic rules.... My brother had the dog with him at a hotel on a work trip recently and left the dog at the hotel (which was dog friendly) while he went to work - and they had to call him because the dog was barking so much and acting up so much that it was disturbing the other guests.

Then the dog figured out how to escape from his doggy cage and tore his leg up doing it - it cost my brother about $500 in vets bill ---

they get so attached to their owners that they have to have special training to be able to deal with the whole detachment thing ---- very high strung, but also very loyal... the dog even jumps in the shower with my brother when he is in there.....

So, we shall see how it goes....

My parents brought me up with the same thought, if people don't like animals, they're not people you want to know!!

It was kind of hot here today, so I volunteered to take my neighbor's cat with me to the water park:

How did that cat manage to slide UP the middle part of the slide? Was he stoned or what?
