RIC & THOM

I don't know where to post this, but since this thread seems to have turned into the melting pot, I'll post it here.

When I saw last night that the two of you had booked your tickets to SF, well I couldn't have been happier.  The friendships and bonds I have formed in these forums have become a significant part of my life.  The opportunity to actually meet other forums members in person, well that takes it to an entirely different level.  It has with you two, it has with all I've been blessed to meet previously, and I know it will again with those I'll meet in San Francisco.

For me, it's what this whole idea of AMG is all about.

I'll see you guys soon!   ;)

I am currently out on medical leave from work for anal fistual surgery and that is crimping the finances so to speak.  So anyone up for sharing a hotel room or something?  I am a smoker ..... let me know via PM.

I am now attending AMG 07!  I have posted arrival and departure info on the appropriate thread and I have just made online reservations with the hotel.  I am looking forward to seeing old friends again and making some new ones too!  I hope everyone isn't "too partied" out by the time I arrive on Saturday around lunch.

See you there!

Hi Gary,

Glad to see you'll be joining us.

If you've made your reservations on-line your room won't be in the group block.  If you'd like to get the group rate you would need to contact reservations directly and ask for the AMG group rate.

And...if anyone has found a lower rate on another website please let me know so I can re-nogiate our group rate.

Thanks
Dennis

Gary:

This is fantastic news.  I'm glad everything worked out so that you can join us.  If you can, try to get your reservation moved to the AMG block of rooms, not only is the rate a little better, but it also helps the Grants Committee.  Dennis has negotiated a deal where the hotel will give them a comp room for every 40 paid nights booked.

Dennis:

I see that you have also booked your flight.  Wonderful, I can't wait to meet you.

SDCrew:

I hope you can get things worked out and join us.

Everyone/Anyone else:

Help!

I can't find the thread that had Blixer's link to youtube with the Global DJs remix of the Mamas and Papas "If You're Going to San Francisco".

Where the heck was it?   ???  I could have sworn it was in this thread!

Never mind, dawned on me to just go to youtube and do the darn search!  Jesus I'm so stupid sometimes.

Blix, I love that remix.  Thanks buddy.

Well I booked my hotel room today so I'm 50% nearer to coming over. Room booked from 13th to 17th September.

Providing next week's blood results are not a complete disaster then I will be buying my flight on 15th June as it then goes into next month's credit card bill and i won't have to pay it til August!

THE BRITISH ARE COMING!

Hot diggity ding dong damn!  This is awesome!

Well I booked my hotel room today so I'm 50% nearer to coming over. Room booked from 13th to 17th September.

Em:

I don't know my geography all that well, but since you're coming to the West coast I assume they'll be flying the polar route.  So if you're 50% there, by my estimation that either puts you in . . . . . .Japan or Peru I think.  You better get the other 50% worked out woman!   ;)

I already told you!   >:(  My mama warned me about girls like you and I sure as heck aint giving you any chocolate!  So quit brining it up!  Dang hussy!

I haven't read the message that Melia quoted, but if you're thinking of coming, that's wonderful.  Hope to see you there.

Well Jan, back to your original question "so who is going to San Francisco?"

So far the census is 38 I believe and we'll be representing 5 different countries.  Australia, New Zealand, Belguim, UK, and US.  We're literally covering the globe!

I love it!   :D

Rich;

Thank you for the warm welcome to your great city.  I think we're all looking forward to our upcoming visit.

Hi guys:

I do not think I will be able to make it. I am too scard of going to the US with my meds.

Hey buddy, I read your post in the arrivals/departures thread.  I wanted to respond here, cause I think Gerry is trying to keep that thread some what free of chatter.

I understand completely your angst about coming to the U.S. with meds.  But if I'm not mistaken, that is no longer an issue.  Didn't we have some info here recently that Bush had actually removed the ban?  I swear I read that somewhere.

But, even if that isn't the case, I have another idea.  I've got extra 3tc, and I bet if we put out the call for some Videx and Sustiva, we'd have no trouble getting enough to cover you for the few days your here.  That way you wouldn't have to worry (even though I don't think you need to anyway.).  Would something like that work out for you?

OMG,

The Brits are taking over AMG 07.  (Cliff doesn't count as a Brit because he's a Yankee transplant.)  But three women?  One if by land, two if by sea, three if by air and there I will be to welcome these ladies and offer a toast, as this is the first time the British have invaded the West Coast.

See you soon.  Love you already, Ric

Em, Englishgirl, Jan, Jen, Lisa, Melia & Nadine

With so many darn females coming to this year's AMG (7 so far!   :o), I think it's crucial you all understand the pecking order.

1.  Stay away from the good looking men!

2.  See #1

When we gay guys have had our pick, you women can have the left overs!

If you still don't get it, maybe this will help:   ;D

JESUS H. CHRIST   >:(

What have we gotten ourselves into?  This article (while focused on SF's Pride Week), is printed in their major daily newspaper, and apparently no one thinks anything about it!

The detailed discussion/instruction/suggestions on where to do this/that/the other, no matter what your particular desires are, paints a picture that makes SF look like some sort of smutville!  I don't want any part of it!  No sirree bob!

Frankly, I'm frightened and am considering never leaving my damn hotel room!

Hey RAB

I read this article last night before bed and I thought about posting it.  But then I thought the better of it.  I was afraid of fanning the flames of lust and carnal knowledge and lasciviousness and then realized we don't have that many rooms reserved to handle all the requests for new reservations.   ;D

Don't anyone be TOO fooled..... RAB does not mean "Rabbeca of Sunnybrook Farm!"

In the "for what it's worth department,"  I have also darkened a few of the doors (and should I say floors?) of some of the places mentioned in RAB's article.  You will certainly know you are not in Kansas anymore!

I will be arriving late (Sat. morning,) and suspect I will have some catching up to do!

Another tidbit from the Chronicle:

AND THESE ARE THE STRAIGHT(Navy Seal trainees) MEN!  What the heck are they supposed to be doing?  Lined up and waiting for the women who are coming to AMG is my guess.   ;)

Christ, apparently the entire city, straight/gay, male/female, young/old, is nothing but a cesspool of debauchery.

THAT SETTLES IT! >:(

Based upon what I've read recently in this thread I'm starting a petition to move the whole damn gathering to Fargo!
