Need help so badly.Never been this this down.

I m so nerveous at this situation as my axillary lymph nodes are enlarged and not responsive for antibiotics.Its been 6 days still lymph nodes are swollen and reddish and tender.2 weeks ago i went on a trip to thailand had sex with 3 prostitutes in 3 consecutive days.All with condoms even the oral sex.but iam afraid as i had body to body massage twice and i have open pimples in my shoulders and back.Which break even with small friction and bleed so often.mild fever and armpit swelling started exactly one week after the incidents,and still 6 days im having that.i find no other reason for getting lymph node enlarge.im also working in medical sector so i took best course of antibiotics,still the armpit swelling is there. so please help me.i know after hearing thousands of cases like this you all are the best to help me..advise me on what should i do please

You have not had a risk for hiv infection.

Getting a blowjob, with or without a condom, is not a risk for hiv infection.

Getting a massage is not a risk for hiv infection. Hiv is NOT transmitted through skin-to-skin contact, not even when you have pimples or whatever on your skin.

Condoms have been proven to prevent hiv infection. There have been three long-term studies of couples where one is positive and one is negative. In the couples who used condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, but no barrier for oral activities, not one of the negative partners became infected with hiv. Not one.

If you feel unwell, see a doctor. Whatever is going on has nothing to do with hiv as you did not have a risk for hiv infection.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED TO TEST SPECIFICALLY OVER ANY OF THE ACTIVITIES YOU'RE WORRIED ABOUT, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

Thank you so much for quick response,and really appreciate your service as this is so valuable thing even more than treating a patient i suppose. but i am driving so crazy over this armpit lymph node enlargement as its 3*3 cm swelling reddish and tender.Have you even come across something like that during your experince of hearing patient cases?really sorry if im bothering you.

People get swollen glands for all sorts of reasons all the time. You need to show yours to a doctor to find out what's wrong. You could be missing something important through your misguided focus on hiv.

You also need to keep your hands OFF the swollen gland or any other glands. Touching them all the time to see if they're swollen can make them swollen, and if they're swollen from some other reason, you can cause them to swell more and be more painful. Hands OFF!

See a doctor. Whatever is going on has nothing to do with hiv.

Sorry to trouble you guys again.i have seen a doctor regarding my lymph enlargement and gave antibiotics,but swollen glands are still there and i feel muscles pain as well.i did full blood count and it has high WBC count (12.2) and high lymphocytes count(3..it suggest there is viral infection.if you think its not HIV can it be Mono? please help me..

That's what doctor are for. The forum is HIV specific.

We cannot tell you whether or not what you have is mono, but we CAN tell you that it is NOT hiv. You did NOT have a risk for hiv infection.
