Around July I had unprotected sex with a female prostitute for about 2 mins.
About 8 weeks later I had a red rash under my armpits that resembled heat rash (in winter?) For the last 5 weeks Ive had at least one lesion in my mouth at a time, one heals then another one starts. I also seem to be getting lesions on my anus. Im also getting lots of cold sores, and pain in my lymph glands.

I think testing is a mere formality... Im pretty sure ive got it

It's actually highly unlikely you've been infected with hiv following a brief, one-time incident. Hiv is a fragile, difficult to transmit virus and more so from a woman to a man.

Symptoms, or even the lack of symptoms, mean NOTHING where hiv is concerned. The ONLY way to know your hiv status is through hiv antibody testing. You've had unprotected intercourse, therefore you have been at risk and you do need to test. You can test now for a conclusive result as the window period for hiv testing is three months.

We will not entertain you with a back and forth about your symptoms. You need to go test and there's no point in going on and on about it. Just go do it.

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together. To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex with a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through all three condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

Anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results. Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

As I told you a few days ago, we will not entertain you with a back and forth about your symptoms. You need to go test and there's no point in going on and on about it. Just go do it.

If you insist on using this forum to go on about your symptoms, you'll quickly be given a time out.

You had a very low level risk. It's highly unlikely you've been infected, although not totally impossible. The ONLY way to know is to go get tested.

Don't waste your life fretting about an illness you most likely do NOT have. If you feel unwell, see a doctor. It's highly unlikely to have anything to do with hiv. And GET TESTED.

Once again, you will not be permitted to use this forum to wring your hands over non-hiv specific symptoms and your inability to do the adult thing and GET TESTED.
