Title: AMG 2007 Survey
Post by: AMG Coordinator on September 19, 2007, 10:45:19 pm
Hello Everyone,

After last years AMG, Cliff posted a link to a survey that yielded much usefull information.  I took the liberty of re-using Cliff's survey with a few minor changes.  Below is the link.  The survey will be open for 30 days and results posted.  I hope I've done correctly.  Please let me know if you come across any errors.

Dennis,

The survey looks good, but you need to change all the occurrences of 2006 to 2007 and all the occurrences of 2007 to 2006.

Allan

Dennis first question needs to be changed from Montreal to San Francisco

Thanks Jerry.

Everyone please pay close to attention to question #15.  This question should only be answered if you checked ''NO" to question 14.

Aslo, if there is any information no included on this survey that you would like to suggest for next year, please feel free to post within this thread.  This information will greaty assist next years coordinator.

Not sure about the first question. The date and location are not consistent. Did you want to ask if we attended this year's AMG? If so, it should read "Did you attend AMG 2007: San Francisco."  If you wanted to ask if we attended last year's AMG, then it should read "Did you attend AMG 2006: Montreal"

The second question states that you should click all that apply, but after you click more than one response, only one shows up.

You can't select "no answer" if you answered no in question 14. So you have to make a choice. Maybe you should rephrase it to "Where do you live" only.

And I agree with allang.

I hope I'm not being too critical here, but question 4 asks where you live, so there's no need for questions 3 or 15.

Thanks Allan.  I updated this earlier but I missed a step in the save process.

Milker - a new option as been added to question 15.

Thank God AMG 2007 was not as misorganized as this survey.

You're not being critical at all.  A survey will typically ask the same question more than once in different formats.  These questions will remain.

I think it would be better if the choices for question 2 (what motivated you to attend) were presented in the form of check boxes, as it's done for #5 and #6. That way you could check more than one. As it stands now, you can only select one answer.

Thank you for your suggestions Allan.  This is pretty much the same survey posted last year.  This question was actually posed in the format you suggested last year. However, I messed up.  I'm still trying to catch up on my rest.  This is a very basic survey to collect some very basic information.  Although important, I don't think this question is terribly as relevant in the planning of AMG as some of the the other questions regarding finances, residence, budget, and location suggestion.  Since people have already started to participate the survey will stand as is in order to preserve it's integrity and the data compiled thus far.  There is sooo much information that can be compiled after an event such as this.  I think this will work just fine for what we need for now.

Since this survey is asking why people did not come to the AMG 2007, wouldn't it be appropriate to put that link in Living With Hiv ? maybe? Not everyone reads AMG.

There are probably many spelling errors.  Whoever finds the most wins!

Oh...and the first letter of a sentence is usually capitalized. ;D

Gee-whiz Dennis.....this is a tough crowd!!  :o
Let's take a critical parent and multiply times 20!!  >:(
(A critical parent who was an advanced english language teacher!)

All this love must be motivating you to be AMG Coordinator again!!  ;)

By the way....there is growing momentum in another thread promoting Chicago as the next US destination:

Edited to note that you did ask for the critics to come out of the closet:
I hope I've done correctly.  Please let me know if you come across any errors.

Done.  I hope everyone takes the survey (whether they attended or not).  The information is useful to those planning the events.  It only takes a couple of minutes (at most) to complete the survey.

As Milker mentioned could you also place this survey in the living with Hiv section? Many of us didn't get to go to the event and may miss the survey here.

thanks  :D
