OK Eric,

I'm not a cook either.  My personal responsibility for this years festive holiday dinner is to select two bottles of champagne to enjoy while the cooks are doing the cooking... However comma I have a question to toss around, which may be better directed to the Butterball Hotline but I do not have access to the toll free number.

I magine if you will, a 10 lb. Butterball turkey should take about 4 hours in a conventional oven (set at 425 F).  If that same conventional oven were mounted in a passenger jet (with an approximate speed of 600 mph), leaving New York at 8:00 AM, heading West...  It would be 8:00 AM when the jet loaded with the conventional oven, set at 425 F and a 10 lb Butterball turkey, landed in Los Angeles.  Would the little red flag on the Butterball turkey be popped up as the bird is ready in Los Angeles  Or would the 10 lb. Butterball turkey be ready at 12 Noon when the plane, with the conventional oven, the 10 lb. Butterball turkey (set at 425 F for 4 hours) lands in Honolulu?  Have the best day
Michael
