geen,

You had to start a new thread as threads posted to the old forums do not appear on this new forum. It's totally different software. Your thread on the old forum can be found here.

Kissing is NOT a risk for hiv infection. Protected intercourse is NOT a risk for hiv infection. Giving a blowjob without ejaculation is as close to no risk as you can get. Please read through the HIV Transmission Lesson

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL STIs together. Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence. Check out the links in the left hand column on either of those webpages for information on the female condom. Try them out, they're pretty good and come in handy if the man you're with complains about putting a condom on.

Anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs. While you don't need to test for hiv over the situations you bring here, getting annual check-ups is the responsible thing to do. There are other sexually transmitted infections out there and ALL of them are much, much easier to transmit than hiv. As long as you are making sure your fella uses condoms for intercourse (or you use a female condom), you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to come back with negative results.

You and the guy you mention both need to know that symptoms, or the LACK of symptoms means nothing when it comes to hiv infection. Some people get so sick during primary infection that they have to go into hospital, but other people notice nothing at all. Some people have every symptom in the book but are reliably hiv negative. To depend on symptoms to know your hiv status is very dangerous. Only antibody testing at the appropriate time will reliably inform you of your hiv status.

It would be a good idea for you to begin having annual check-ups, but if what you outlined in your post is all you've done and you haven't had unprotected intercourse, then you can expect your routine hiv test to come back negative.

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts

Forcing someone to get tested is a tough one.  My wife refuses to get tested so there is not much I can do there.  Although she complains almost nightly of being hot while trying to sleep.  Hard saying honestly if that is a symptom or just the reality of sleeping in the warmest room of the house.  We live in Phoenix by the way.

But I seem to sleep just fine, but then I sleep in the nude and she sleeps in PJ's
So who knows.  Just thought I'd throw in my two pesos worth.

you cant make someone get a test!

You can only test yourself at the appropriate time
