1st results! After diagnosis
« on: December 17, 2019, 04:48:11 pm »
So I went to the doctor my cd4 is 548 so she said its good the higher the better. So I'll try to work on that. But my vitals and everything were great liver and kidneys are fine. No spikes or anything. No side effects  to the biktarvy that I can see or feel. And my vl is undetectable. that's only 2 months  or so on the pill. Which is crazy to me... I've just been preparing for the future and setting goals.  You really cant let this hold you back. I'm focused on me and getting myself in order and where I want to be in life. Then I believe everything will fall into place. So I'm more hopeful then I was a few months back. But I know I have a lot more to overcome. So to anyone out there I hope.it gets better for you as well may you find your passion in life and continue  to live and you.

My two cents there is nothing you can directly do to cause sustainable increases in them, nothing healthy at least, but what you can do is keep taking you meds to suppress the virus so it's no longer doing uncontrolled damage.

Your CD4's are within "normal" average range for the general HIV- population, so no need to waste effort focusing on this number, instead focus on living your life and if you generally want to be healthier, by all means, eat better, sleep well, exercise more and above all have fun ;)

Great news and wonderful approach. Please stay strong. It is absolutely normal to flip off some days but remember that you are in control and you hold the key.

I affirm what Jim said regarding CD4 Count, there is nothing that you can do. But your numbers are JUST PERFECT.

Please keep us posted and all the best,
Prince

Ok I dont think my cd4 has changed much from when I was  diagnosed anyway... so I kinda wasn't too worried. My  weight is literally the same right under like 199lb  198lb and I've literally been eating what I want... so I guess that would be wear I'd want to be healthier.. thanks for the support.

Excellent! Set goals, live your life! As my doctor told me when I was just diagnosed and pounding myself, 'Your are not dying of hiv... you are living with hiv!'... Her words still resound in my mind specially those days when the weight of the hiv seems to put a damper on life! So... You are living with hiv, set your goals and enjoy life!  :) :)
Today January 20, 2020, I have taken 2378 pills of my ARV since first pill. This means 79 bottles of 30 pills of ARVs at an average of $3950 per bottle or $313,103 USD for my treatment. I have a compliance of 99.83% taking my meds and only .17% (or 4 pills) non-compliant. Of these four pills two I forgot completely, One I lost and one I didn't have with me while traveling! I became UD 3 months after treatment start   ***We are all dealing with this. And we will live long and productive lives!! AND, yes the Lord is my shepherd. Life is good... And thanks for the meds! ***
