Ive never been a frequent McDonalds eater but recently discovered something they call American Fries, in Switzerland.  They are thick fries. They are delicious and they taste like real food. Also they stay hot for a long time.

The Dandelion serves up triple-fried chips which are, evidently, to die for -- especially in the fish & chips dish.

Also, am I the only person that likes gravy fries?

It's like Canadian poutine without the cheese -- I never ate it until my freshman year at Penn State (lest I confuse anyone I went there for 3 semesters). And now that you mention it, come visit me and I'll take you out for an Italian hybrid of poutine with guinea hen leg bolognese and mozzarella curd!

God bless Philadelphia!

Well goodie, I'll take Jeff to alla Spina instead of Guilhermina. btw, for extra goodness it's housed in an old car dealership down the street from our fair city's most celebrated ruin.

And we can also score fried pig tails with fennel agrodolce there. TASTY GOODNESS!

Who in the hell doesn't like gravy fries? :o  And I'm one of the pickiest eaters there is.  Half the other things you all have talked about I couldn't even pronounce and therefore would be forbidden from eating it.

And I always lean backwards when I open some of the links.

Also, am I the only person that likes gravy fries?

I love me some fries with gravy.  Real gravy made with meat drippings, not cream gravy.  Unfortunately, it's impossible to find in Texas, near as I can tell.

When I lived in Binghamton NY, fries with gravy were practically a staple.  There were several diner-style restaurants that roasted turkeys daily, and I have fond memories of open-faced turkey sandwiches, with fries and gravy on the side.  Gravy on the turkey, gravy on the fries, gravy everywhere!!!!

Le sigh.  Texans make terribly gravy.   Sorry, Wumpy.

Now I feel like roasting me some turkey this weekend.
