Three nights ago, I went to a massage parlour and paid for a handjob. The experience lasted around thirty seconds with her hand on my penis and her tongue on my nipple. Aside from feeling quite ashamed about the experience (I've never done anything like that before, I'd drunk an awful lot of booze, and the idea of prostitution sits ill at ease with me). However, I'm terrified by the idea that I've caught HIV. I've had a headache on and off for the last few days and a pain in my throat. What are my chances of having become infected, because I'm sick with worry. Thanks, in advance, for your time.

Based on what you described....absolutely none. No chance at all, friend. HIV is not transmitted through skin-to-skin contact. The aches and pains you feel are most likely to do with your shame and stress (not to mention all that booze). Like you stated, you're probably just "sick with worry". It's got nothing do do with HIV at all.

There is absolutely no way you'd become infected with hiv through a handjob. Mutual masturbation is not a risk for hiv infection. Please read through the Welcome Thread (http://forums.poz.com/index.php?topic=220.0) so you can learn what is and what isn't a risk for hiv infection.
Here's the main thing you need to know to keep yourself safe from hiv: You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL STIs together. To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with a sexually transmitted infection. Sex with a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.
