PEP 72 hours

Hey there, im trying to figure out my risks and know if continue under PEP (truvaba self medicated)

so i had 3 diferents sessions of vaginal intercorse with an unknown source(age 33), after all fun was over, i realize he might be doing this to often with other boys (he was asking for a place to stay and telling me about this anticonceptive methods that goes inside her, T)
 
so after going into research i came into PEP a bit to late,
87,81,77 hours after intercourse i started on truvada.

my questions guys
side effects are completely normal? like headache and nausea?
also read about not taking ibuprofeno with it...

and most important, will it work after 72? or have some grade of success

Ill presume the intercourse was unprotected.

See a doctor regarding the sides effects, this is not the type of drugs you can selfmedicate. I have no idea what underlying issues you have and the potential impact on your kidneys/liver should be checked. Taking it this late post exposure is really inefficient

Also instead of reaching out for PEP start using condoms and if you can't for whatever reason start using PrEP correctly and via your doctor or at least under a doctor's supervision.

Test for HIV at 6-weeks post finishing PEP and again at 13weeks and also test for easier to transmit STIs

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, every time, no exceptions.

Keep in mind that some sexual practices which may be described as ‘safe’ in terms of HIV transmission might still pose a risk for transmission of other STI's, so please do get fully tested regularly and at least yearly for all STI's including but not limited to HIV and test more frequently if unprotected intercourse occurs

Also note that it is possible to have an STI and show no signs or symptoms and the only way of knowing is by testing.

im afraid doctors dont know much about PEP overhere, aniway im not into any other med or have been... i did find the pills abit tough on livers and kidney, still pee and defecating just fine.

now im reallly wondering why should i keep taking them if you also saying its inefective,... 77 hours last intercourse might be the one who knows, even read on local newpapers about people taking PEP after a month not kiddin

After 3 days (77 hours) the odds of you building up levels of the drugs in the tissue needed before any hiv taking hold (if exposed) is minimal. Some departments and specialists don't even start if its beyond 48 hours

Talk to your doctor, pissing ok does not mean all is okay. get a kidney baseline done and any other medical test they deem needed to determine what is making you ill and inform them of the drugs you have been talking.
