Hello,

This result can be considerate conclusive? In the laboratory say me the conclusive result is at 6 month or later? This is true?
This is a risk situation to take Aids? Or no?
I am very worried and anxiety for this situation.
Thank for yours answers.

Guillermo, take a breath and listen, please. You're way, way overtesting beyond what is necessary.

In general if there has been a real risk the recommended testing time for a reliable answer is at 13 weeks past the incident. In your case where I suspect the condom slipped off as you were withdrawing there wasn't even a need for testing. But as long as you did test, as soon as you have a negative at 13 weeks then you know you are HIV negative. Period. End of story.

Anyone who tells you differently than that doesn't know what they are talking about. I say that because 6 months used to be the measure but that is long outdated because HIV tests are more sensitive now. So you don't have to worry about HIV in relation to this incident.

As far as other STDs are concerned, we advise people who are sexually active to get a full panel of tests done regularly. At least once a year and every six months is even better.

I'm glad to read you are using condoms. They provide very effective protection as long as you use one everytime.

Cheers,
Andy Velez

Guill,

You ARE hiv negative. You do NOT need further testing. You do NOT have hiv.

Guill,

You've already been told repeatedly that you are conclusively hiv negative. You do NOT have hiv. You ARE hiv negative!

Guillermo, with that collection of negative test results there is absolutely no reason to doubt you are HIV negative. There was no need to test beyond 13 weeks.

I suspect that at least part of your worrying is because you were with a sex worker for the first time. Men often and mistakenly think they must be a greater risk if they were with a professional rather than a civilian. Which isn't true because very often sex workers are especially careful about having safer sex to protect their health. Also, many men seem to have a lot of guilt or shame about having been gone to a sex worker. If that's an issue for you I say "get over it"  No kidding.

It's past the time for you to give up this totally unnecessary panic about your HIV status. You need to get on with your life. Now. You're HIV negative. Period. End of story.

Guillermo,

No, antibiotics will not interfere with your test. If things like that interfered, we'd tell you.

You are hiv negative and it's time to get on with your life.

If you've read the Welcome Thread like you're supposed to, you will have read the following:

Quote
Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusive negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to a four week Time Out (a temporary ban from the Forums). If you continue to post excessively after one Time Out, you may be given a second Time Out which will last eight weeks. There is no third Time Out - it is a permanent ban. The purpose of a Time Out is to encourage you to seek the face-to-face help we cannot provide on this forum.

Please consider yourself warned.

Dear Ann, Andy, Matty the damned, Rapid.
Hello,
I have a question.
If all my tests are only from one laboratory, have the same validity?? or conclusive validity?? .. or is it advisable to test in another laboratory to confirm the validity?
or the guidelines say with only with one test or one laboratory the status/result/test are conclusive? ???
I have a face to face councelling i am very relaxed now.  ;D
Thanks a lot
Bye
Guillermo.

Clearly even though you are reliably and conclusively HIV negative, you're still worrying and fretting about what ifs. There's no reason to doubt the reliability of the lab you used.

Talking with a professional about the emotional aspects of this situation is a good plan. Do it!

This is NOT an HIV situation. And you are on the verge of getting a time out.
