New labs...

Hi guys.

Got my new labs today, good news is I am UD, bad news is CD4s were pretty much the same. Well, there were 4 more brave ones than last time! So Woot Woot!

I could see a few changes in the cbc, white blood cells dropped to slightly out of range, monocytes are just out of range but on the high side. The rest were normal.

Cholesterol, LDL, HDL and Triglycerides were good and in range.

I had told myself to NOT let me be disappointed, my mind was hoping for close to 300 CD4s but I also told myself I would be happy if it stayed above 200.

Generally Im feeling well, but would just like that darn immune system to speed up its recovery so I can take a breath and relax.

Don't think/worry about it too much. You are UD, that's great news already and the CD4s will recover eventually...

You might have to be patient with your CD4s after starting so low. Give it time and try to not worry about it too much. The stress of worrying about it isn't going to be doing your CD4s any good.

And don't forget - you don't know what your CD4s were like before hiv. You could be one of those people whose CD4s were naturally at the lower end of the "normal" range, like in the 500s.

Just relax and give it time. What's most important is that your VL is UD.

Liver and kidney test came in today.
ALT: 22
eGFR: 0.8

Also got to switch to Atripla, brand name and only 85USD a month. Thats without any insurance or copay, just straight out of pocket.

Getting UD is what really matter though, it mean the med works as it suppose to. For CD4, well it up to your body to make that number goes up. Try to rest, eat quality food, regular exercise will surely help with your cd4.  Hey make sure you don't have any kind of infection or nutritional deficiency.   Alcohol and smoking is detrimental for your immune system recovery, try to avoid that.
