CD4 decrease; CD4% increase

Hi folks - it's been a while!

Something odd is happening with my numbers...

My CD4 is going down, but the cd4% keeps increasing

Jan 2019  CD4 235 (DROP FROM 400)   CD4% 23
April 2020 CD4 285                              CD4% 24
Jan  2021  CD4 302                              CD4% 25
Aug 2021  CD4 260                               CD4% 28

I am puzzled ...should I be concerned?

I'm not a health care provider, of course, but I would expect that many who are would
not suggest to you that you should be: your numbers are stable above 200, and your percentages are steady above 20 and trending up.

       ojo.       Hi como, all I can tell you is that I prefer an increase of cd4% than changes in the cd4 absolute…you are on your way to a better recovery…good luck

Your cd4 percentage appears to be climbing, while your cd4 absolute is relatively the same. I'd be happy about that percentage, and wouldn't really worry. To be sure though, I'd ask the doc what's up with that.

Thanks for the replies folks. One would think that after 10 years of living with this virus, my anxiety levels around lab results would taper.....
