Rare or new strands of hiv

Please can you help.

I am late with my period over two weeks done a pregnancy test but it states I'm not pregnant.  I have had HIV after an event 3 months ago.  My question is could HIV cause missed periods or false readings on pregnancy test

I am awaiting results from my 3 month HIV test,.

As I have missed my period and pregnancy tests say I'm not pregnant, I'm asking if HIV would cause missed periods

No, hiv would not interfere with your pregnancy test. Hiv would not cause you to miss or be late either. Stress can make you be late.

Just taken another pregnancy test and I am pregnant.  Just waiting hiv test result now, fingers crossed.

Hi,

I have tested through six months now with negative results.  Please can you let me know if it is possible that I may have a rare sub type or a new strain of HIV that the antibody test will not pick up from a standard nhs HIV test.

I keep getting strange spots all over me, I'm all flushed in the face with my nose and one side of face red.  I'm always achey and keep getting ulcers on the back of my toncils .  My tounge is always really furry and occasional sore.  I have goneto doctor numerous times and have been told that the is nothing wrong but I am deff getting these symptoms

You'll just have to keep going to your doctor until you find out what, if anything, is wrong with you. You have already ruled hiv out of the picture. And forget about having some rare or new strain of hiv. You will still produce antibodies and those antibodies will be picked up by the tests.
