Please help! Really worried
« on: June 14, 2012, 09:31:11 am »
Hello to all readers and admin,

Last 5 days ago, I really did something stupid in my life. I(guy) did oral sex with a call girl in the room. I started to touch her vagina and I started to lick and suck her private part for like 10-15 seconds and before doing that I have mouth ulcer in my mouth due to hot weather conditions. Would I get infected with HIV through mouth ulcers? I think I did made her wet a little. No sexual intercourse was done just me doing an oral for her within 10-15 sec

Please advice, I have been having hard times sleeping over it and I keep thinking I would actually get it

shien,

Giving a woman oral sex is not a risk for hiv infection, regardless of ulcers in your mouth.

You have not had a risk for hiv infection in anything you describe.

The only proven risks for hiv infection are unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse, sharing drug injecting equipment and mother-to-child during pregnancy or delivery.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED TO TEST OVER GIVING A WOMAN ORAL, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

Hi Ann,

Thanks for the quick respond. I just did a blood test yesterday to make me get better sleep and maybe after 3 months another time. Is it advisable to take hepatitis A and B shot? I did get a shot of hep B when I was a kid till now. Advice?

shien,

Any adult should be vaccinated against hep A and B. If it's been many years since you were vaccinated against either, you need to speak to your doctor about having a booster. He or she may want to run tests first to see if you still have immunity. If you do, you won't need the booster.

As far as hiv is concerned, unless you've been having unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse with anyone that you neglected to mention, then you have not been at risk. You do not need to test again over giving a woman oral. It's not a risk.

Hi Ann,

Oh I see, yup I did consult that with a doctor here and she said she would want to look at my antibodies. If its still ok then I won't need that shot. But even I still have immunity do you think it's best to take the shot?

Oh seriously I never had unprotected sex even with my wife lol. Family planning still. Not even a first child yet. That is why I'm worried sick I would transfer her the virus  and to our future child. But now Ann you made it a relief for me. I really regretted doing that oral for a call girl.. But I'm glad it solve the question spinning in my head.

Ask your doctor what she thinks you should do. She will have your results in front of her and so will be best placed to make that decision.

Again, you have not had a risk for hiv infection. You're not going to give your wife a virus you do not have.

Hi Ann,

Ok I will consult my doctors here but still waiting for the medical report. Another question is if we did have oral sex, would we catch any other diesease from oral sex?

shien,

You can get herpes and syphilis from giving a woman oral, and that's pretty much it. However, you can get both of those plus gonorrhea and chlamydia from getting a blowjob. Those STIs are much more easily transmitted than hiv. MUCH more easily transmitted.

That is why we recommend that anyone who is sexually active get a COMPLETE sexual health check up at least once a year. Many STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the ONLY way to know for sure is to test.

Hey Ann,

Is there any cure for syphilis, herpes and gonorrhea and chlamydia? Even I gave oral sex to the woman I would get these STI?

If I'm not infected could I take the cure? Would this diesease be permanent? And it won't effect my wife in the future right?

Shien,

Did you read what I wrote earlier?

You can get herpes and syphilis from giving a woman oral, and that's pretty much it.

Syphilis, gonorrhea and chlamydia can be treated and cured, but herpes cannot. Herpes can be suppressed with a drug called acyclovir, but once you have it you'll always have it. Up to 80% of any given population has herpes.

If you're worried about any of these STIs, see your doctor. This is an hiv website and we don't really go into the other STIs in any detail.

What matters here where you are concerned is that you did NOT have a risk for hiv infection.

If you read the Welcome Thread before posting like you're supposed to, you will have read the following posting guideline:

Quote

Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusive negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to a four week Time Out (a temporary ban from the Forums). If you continue to post excessively after one Time Out, you may be given a second Time Out which will last eight weeks. There is no third Time Out - it is a permanent ban. The purpose of a Time Out is to encourage you to seek the face-to-face help we cannot provide on this forum.

Please consider yourself warned!
