IS it possible ??
« on: February 13, 2011, 11:55:27 pm »
I was told i had full blown Aids DEC 2009, then after 2 months without any meds, come up completely negative, i have taken 5 full tests 3 months apart, western blot etc...The whole game.. Does this type of thing happen, if so, can i expect a relapse?

The fifth test showed one protein band the doctor could not explain, he ran another test looking for the virus, but not a trace.

I remember the nights and months of no sleep, cold night sweats, cough, vomiting, dehydration, depression, fever...  It all seems to be right, my doctor tells me once you come up negative that's it..

could it be that my immune system recovered after having full blown aids with no meds, is it even possible?  I'm really living in a daze of confusion.  Hey I'm not complaining really, just fell its all going to come back.   How i may have acquired the virus is another mystery, I'm not gay (not to say it only effects Gay's) or take needle drugs, i normally use a condom for intercourse but not for oral sex.

If anyone had this type of scenario, let me know

Clear some things up for me here.

You say you were told you had "full blown AIDS" in December 2009. Two months after that you tested negative. Was that a negative antibody test or an undetectable viral load test?

As for the "5 full tests" were these taken before or after your "AIDS diagnosis"?

What led the doctor to give you a diagnosis of "full blown AIDS"? Did you originally receive a positive HIV antibody/western blot test result?

I'm sorry for the questions, but I want to be very sure about these things before I give you an answer.

I thought i had the flu or some other virus, i went to the hospital 2-3 times, then they tested me the third time, 3 days later i went back to the hospital complaining that i could not sleep, at this point i lost 25lb and have not sleeped for 2 months..  I went to a mental hospital, which i thought was, but it turned out to be a ward for people with HIV, i refused to accept it, i did not take any drugs, left in a week....

Started to feel better, had no apatite for weeks, then felt better, mentally i was bad, went to another mental hospital, told them what i had, they retested me, the doctor said i don't have it, they thought i was crazy and hallucinated everything that the doctor at the 1 metal hospital said...

I suggest to remove any doubts you may have about your negative HIV status, get tested now and collect what I am expecting to be a negative test result.

I'm not going to speculate about that strange experience you had two years ago. I don't think that would be helpful or clarify your situation now.
