Need gift ideas.

Christmas is coming up next month so I want to get started on some gift stuff, especially one extra special gift that I don't mind spending a lot of time on. For the boyfriend, of course.

I don't want to just buy him something, yknow? I want to make him something, somehow. I was at first thinking a painting of some kind. And maybe I can incorporate that into whatever I do, now, but I don't want that to be the whole thing.

Basically, here's stuff we are both really into/share together:

Dinosaurs.
Music.
Art.
Rodents.
Rainbow stuff!
Books - books that we like: Redwall (a series by Brian Jacques about animals), other similar things.
Stuff from when we were little that we both admitted to liking: Cartoons - Little Bear, Frog And Toad, Allegra's Window, Eureka's Castle.


We both LOVE photos. So I was thinking of sneaking some photos of us in it somewhere.

But, I definitely want to spend a lot of time on this, whatever it is. Maybe some kind of scrapbook kinda thing, so I'd have to purchase something nice to throw this all into, yknow?

Anyway, please give me all of your ideas. Don't hold back because of money or anything, because even if the idea is expensive and I couldn't do that exact one, I could at least maybe take something from that and kind of incorporate it somehow.

My first thought was a painting.  I think bf would love that. You could incorporate photos, poems, date of special days you spent together, things that are special to the two of you into a painting. Collage type of thing, or a framed scrapbook page.

I think bf will love anything you do for him.

I'm thinking along the same lines as Christine...start taking lots of photo's now, some on his own, some with you.
Get a piece of plywood, it could be small or as large as you want it to be, start pasting photo's, excerts from a favourite book (one or two lines) some small caroons, a little bit of everything you share and love to do....just fill the board up, like Christine said make a collage...as a frame use old fence posts, they always look very rustic, paint them if you want or just leave them and give them a coat of vanish, I personally think they look better without the paint and the more knots the better.

Just a thought.
