is therer anyone could help me
« on: February 14, 2013, 02:41:27 am »
Hi all. I'm 39 years old male . I live in LA . I was on a trip to thai and did the most stupid thing in my entire live I don't know why or how I visit a sex worker 3 weeks ago for protected anal it last for 5 or 7 minutes. I see the condom didn't fail also I think there is no tears or leak. Unfortunately I washed with dettol and water after I'm done some website said that's not good . I don't know and I left to start my journey with anxiety and stressed right away.
I had no symptoms till today I start with headache . Weakness . sour throat and cough also body ache that's on the first day after 3 weeks no diarrhea yet but I feel stomach ache maybe diarrhea on the way .
My daughter was sick I think I might get the flu from her since my wife is getting sick too but she get sick do many time and I never get the flu from her. I just dont know and looking for anything to calm me down a bit.
I don't know how I did that to myself to my daughter or my wife.
Believe it or not it's the first time to visit SW since I get married.
The problem is all I do just search online for info to help me calm down.
Some websites makes me feel I have very low risk even less .then some confirm that I'm positive.
I'm terrifying.  I plan to take the test after 3 month to be conclusive.  But scared to death even more . God please help me please please. If I test positive I'll get heart attack for sure I'm really scared and can't talk with anyone about it .
I had to intercourse with my wife with condom I just had to. Does now she have risk too. If she get infected I won't be able to live with that . I can't forgive myself ever . I can't do that to her she's good to me.

Does anyone has similar experience and know how save that was.
Is there any statistics of contracting hiv with protected sex.
Does anyone know how many cases get infected through condom ( didn't failed) I just trying to ease my mind so I can think rightand get myself ready for the test.
Any opinions would help a lot.
Please give me your thought or info .
Thanks in advance

This incident that you described:

is absolutely NOT a risk for HIV.

You correctly wore a condom for penetrative sex. That is absolutely ALL you need to do to avoid getting HIV sexually.

It's really that simple.

"Many people, especially in the gay community, turn to oral sex as a safer alternative in the age of AIDS. And with HIV rates rising, people need to remember that oral sex is safer sex. It's a reasonable alternative."

Thanks so much for your response . Do you really believe I'm not in risk .
Even I'm not I sure there wasn't a tear on the condom or leak.
And how about the flu symptoms I have I still feel sick my throat hurt my back arm and legs hurting . Body ache . Stiff neck.
I know still possible chance for someone to contract hiv through protected sex especially anal but is anyone know the statistic for that . Does that happen to many people.
Is there many report cases.
Thanks again

No it is not possible to contract HIV from protected sex. As you were advised, had the condom failed you would have known.  Flu symptoms? This is flu season.
