Flash backs to the 1960's (remember these?)
« on: August 09, 2006, 08:23:10 pm »
I don’t know why I was thinking of this, but I was and thought of eBay to see if anyone still had these. I had one  of these as a kid, and even remember the TV jingle to sell them.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Original-Vintage-Polaroid-Swinger-Camera-No-Reserve_W0QQitemZ250014811724QQihZ015QQcategoryZ3347QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Sing along now...

Meet the swinger, polaroid swinger. Meet the swinger, polaroid swinger. Its more than a camera, its almost alive! At only 19 dollars and 95 ($19.95).
Swing it up, it says YES, take the shot, count it down, tear it off.
Meet the swinger, polaroid swinger... meet the swinger, polaroid swinger...

I remember many toys too. Remember JOHNNY SEVEN (a toy gun that was seven guns in one)

Or SIX FINGER (that was a fake finger with a tab to hold it in your palm. So it looked like you had six fingers. The SIX FINGER, if I remember, had a cap gun built in and some other little things built in to the toy finger.
Their TV theme was...
"Six finger, Six finger, man alive.. How did I ever get along with five?"

I'm almost embarrassed I can remember these dumb things.

I think I still have my Swinger somewhere around here. I got it as a present when I was just a wee nip of a lad.

Actually, it didn't take bad photos. They were black and white and developed in 60 seconds or so.

HUGS,

Mark
