Oral Sex = NGU = HIV?
« on: January 17, 2017, 09:24:47 am »
About 72 hours ago I received oral sex (protected with condom) from csw. I'm having symptoms of NGU and I started taking Doxy for treatment.

Does NGU increase my chance of HIV? How did i get NGU if I used a condom?

This is confusing. I don't think the condom broker or sort. Now what? I'm scared.

Hi, First off getting a blow job is not risk for HIV even with out a condom. Other STIs however are much more easily transmitted.
You have had no risk for HIV , continue your treatment and move on.

Best, Wade

To avoid infection,
You need to be using condoms for all anal and vaginal intercourse until you are in a trusting monogamous relationship and both have been tested for all STIs and HIV.
Everyone who is sexually active should have an annual exam and test for all STIs and HIV ,and always after unprotected intercourse. Always using condoms will give you peace of mind your tests will return with a negative result.

does it matter who it was? Doesn't the risk factor increase if its an sex worker?

I also forgot to mention I have a PREXISTING condition causing inflammation of the Urethra such as Prostatitis.

Wouldn't existing prostate infection increase my chance of HIV despite using condom / not with ORAL SEX Received?

1. No
2. No
3. And No

One thing has nothing to do with the other, no one has ever been infected from getting a blow job since the epidemic began and you will not be the first.
Please accept your NO RISK assessment and move on with your life.

Best, Wade

I spoke to infection disease doc and he said it is possible to get HIV through oral sex. It's low but possible.

my penis is still on fire. I went to the doc and he said doxy plus flagyl would have cover all bases. He said no to Azitro at this point.

No gonorreha / likely of any std with protected oral is none but he still wants me to get tested.

Any input? Please help.

He,

Move on and stop posting online, I've seen you posts and rubbish on other sites. I mean do not post about this again here as it will lead to a ban,  I am not going to entertain that you had a risk when you had none as it just spreads further nonsense and further misunderstandings, irrational fears about HIV transmission, you have a true irrational fear and should consider taking to someone face to face support as in a therapist.

The non-specific urethritis has nothing to do with HIV, and having it did not increase you non-existent risk. The theory of STI "increasing" the odds of HIV transmission is often misunderstood.

If you have a preexisting STI causing lets say inflammation or open sores it might when you do take an already known risk, lets say unprotected intercourse increase the likelihood of HIV being transmitted to you. However it does not make a "no risk situation" for HIV transmission into a risk.

There hasn’t been a single documented case of HIV transmission to an insertive partner (the person being "sucked") and you will not be the first. This makes sense as getting your penis sucked is simply not a HIV risk, not only is saliva not infectious, it also contains over a dozen elements that neutralize HIV.

When we talk about theoretical oral risk it is only with additional conditions and even than its only when sucking a penis, not when your getting sucked!!!

Whatever is causing your symptoms it is not HIV from this the incident posted. You had no HIV risk at all however you did of course have risks for other easier to transmit STI's.

28 day ban for misusing report to moderator

I say this from a point of kindness as you just need to move on now and stop focusing/stressing about HIV. Stop posting online here and in other places, the purpose of a Time Out is to encourage you to seek the face-to-face help we cannot provide on this forum.
