Hi Panda,

I don't know much about DHEA, so I can't help, sorry. But, I moved your thread from the Lipo forum to the Living forum because you're bound to get more responses here.

I take DHEA daily.  I buy it in the vitamin section at Walmart.  Not sure if it's helping or not but I'm currently the picture of health....well at least according to my blood work.   ;D

I take DHEA.  It's a testosterone precursor.  I find that it helps a bit with building muscle mass.  Not sure if it's a good idea for a woman to be taking it, though.

Testosterone precursor. Scientifically questionable value.  Never heard of it as being "good" for HIV. Source please? thanks

See http://www.raysahelian.com/dhea.html .

He says :
The administration of DHEA in patients with advanced HIV infection results in improved mental function

He refers to this study :
Piketty C, et al. Double-blind placebo-controlled trial of oral DHEA in patients with advanced HIV disease. Clin Endocrinol (Oxf). 2001 Sep;55(3):325-30.

I don't take DHEA and have never have tried it. I read about it before though, but the side effect list seemed to outweigh the potential benefit
