Possible exposure! Does Hiv transmit through tissues paper?
« on: January 07, 2024, 12:45:40 am »
Greeting
Thank you for your time answering my queries! I am sorry if my English is unclear as it’s not my native language!

Situation :
Three weeks back I had a protected sex with person I just meet. During the action we had a protected sex and I make sured condom was not broken. But after the encounter and  condom removal, I cleaned the vaginal fluid using the tissue paper and accidentally I keep the tissue at the  tip of penis for a moment!
Does these situations have a potential impact for hiv virus transfer?

As it’s been a three weeks, I have some symptoms likes sore throat, white patches in my tounge and inner cheeks, cough.

Do I need testing for confirm ?

I would like to thank you for your answer in advance!

Using condoms, like you did, is the way to protect yourself from HIV. Conditions outside the body (like temperature, moisture, air exposure) quickly destroy HIV and you were not at any risk from HIV in the situation you described.

Have a great day,
Michael

Reducing Your HIV risks:
With no exceptions, use condoms correctly and consistently for anal or vaginal intercourse
Talk to a healthcare provider about PrEP as another layer of protection

Get tested yearly for HIV and other STIs.
If you don’t use condoms and/or PrEP, test more frequently

Some sexual practices described as safe in terms of acquiring HIV still pose a risk for other more easily acquired STIs. It is possible to show no signs or symptoms from an STI so testing is the only way to know.

Get tested at least yearly for STIs, including but not limited to HIV, and more frequently if condomless intercourse occurs.

What’s the ONLY way to know if you’ve been infected by HIV or an STI?
Get tested.

why bother posting if you're not going to accept the answer.

You used condoms for penetrative sex. That's what you're supposed to do, so there was no exposure to HIV.
Fluids on a tissue you used to clean up afterwards touched your penis. That's not an exposure to HIV.

No

"some symptoms likes sore throat, white patches in my tounge and inner cheeks, cough."
whatever those "symptoms" are, they don't have anything to do with HIV. If you still have those issues, go see a doctor about what's really causing those symptoms.
