Is it possible to have penetration without knowing?

Hi staff,

3 days ago I had a massage with a girl. Both of us were naked. She sat in front of me. I’m affraid that when I lie upwards (face up) and her vagina touch my penis and then my penis dip in her vagina without knowing. I remember surely that I didn’t have any feeling of my penis dipping in her vagina.
So can I ask in reality is it possible to have penetration without knowing, without feeling? I was totally conscious at that time.

If you had penetrated, you would have known about it.

Here's what you need to know to reduce your HIV risks:
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse correctly and consistently, with no exceptions. Consider talking to your healthcare provider about PrEP as an additional layer of protection against HIV

Keep in mind that some sexual practices described as safe in terms of acquiring HIV still pose a risk for other easier-acquired STIs. So please do get tested at least yearly for STIs, including but not limited to HIV, and more frequently if condomless intercourse occurs.

Also, note that it is possible to have an STI and show no signs or symptoms; testing is the only way to know.

I had genital warts. So on Monday ( April 3, 23) I went to hospital to perform laser on the warts. Before they performed, the doctor injected me to make me feel painless (anaesthetic). I'm worried that she didn't use the new needle, but she used the old needle that was used to inject the patient before me.

So can I ask that if the doctor injected the previous patient, and then after about 2-4 minutes, she used the same needle inject me to make me feel painless before performing laser on my warts. Am I at risk of HIV?

The problem is not HIV; it's your irrational fear.

First, you feared getting a blood draw because of the cotton wool the nurse used, and after that, it was fear your penis entered a vagina without you knowing about it, and now it's the local anaesthetic used.

If you keep having these fears consider talking to a psychiatrist, and next time you have a procedure done, tell them you have irrational HIV fears and ask them to therefore unpack any sharps in front of you so you can avoid this drama afterwards.

The only obvious risk so far is you passing on HPV (genital warts) to the lady who gave you a massage back in March.
