Can someone verify there had been no skulduggery such as an infant impostor being substituted in the royal bedchamber?

ps: The Lady Miss P has returned by special request of the House of Windsor :P

I was speaking only of the "Sandy Beach" number he donned while mourning your absence. I think it was purchased at "Hair Town".  A merkin however comes as no surprise.

No filthy c-section for this child :P

I wonder if they kept the Royal Placenta.

btw, the London Shard new skyscraper will be offering free observation deck tickets to anyone born on the same day as the Royal Fetus, so that means our Fair Janno qualifies if she cares to jet over to London.

This app will be great in a few months when the pictures start rolling out....You can even use it now to block all the unwanted baby pics coming in from family and friends. It takes any Baby pic that shows up on your newsfeed and replaces them with cool stuff like puppies or kitties :)

Yay technology!!

The Today Show used the first 13 minutes on this.  In TV, that is a very long time.  GMA used their first 10 minutes.  Then, they both did more reports after 7:30am.  Today Show actually had Dr. Nancy Sneiderman there to tell viewers what happens during birth.  Really?  Is it different for Royals?  Do they come out the arse?

I've noticed the morning shows do almost daily royal stories, so they must have focus-grouped it and found Americans eat it up.  If they only gave that much time to other stories of greater importance.  That was Ann Curry's criticism.  She hasn't criticized this to my knowledge, but criticized not focusing on more important issues.

Once the sharp edges of the crown passes through the birth canal the rest is easy.

Kate hadn't thought that far ahead when she opted to have a boy. It was that whole Anne Bolyen fiasco that she was thinking of.......

Of course not, Tedderz, don't be so silly.

Once the sharp edges of the crown passes through the birth canal the rest is easy.

That's pretty silly too. You're a dad, you should know a newborn's neck couldn't possibly support the weight of a crown, they can't even support their own head at birth.

However, that silver spoon in the baby's mouth can be tricky and cause complications.

8 pounds. That's like ten dollars.

More like twelve bucks and a shiny quarter.

So now that you can get gay married in England what happens if the boy King grows up to be a Queen?

He'll marry his Prince Charming, naturally! :)

Babies also can't talk when they're born.  How are they supposed to answer the troll's riddle and cross the drawbridge?

I think the troll is there to keep the commoners from entering, not to keep babies from exiting.

Besides, I'm pretty sure Camilla is long past it where babies are concerned.

War or not. Some "traditions" need to retire. Doesn't seem to be working. Take my gay card away if you must. I just look at the whole thing as a source for amusement. Too bad it usurps "real" news issues.

REgarding the name, I'm assuming Willz and Katie-Kates knew it was a boy prior to birth. So I wonder why the fuss about the name, and the requirement that the queen approve it. Surely they had conversations months ago with Queenie about the name??

Or are they just abiding by tradition again on this?

William still has his nice smile, and one or two good angles, but the very pretty boy looks are a fading memory. Talk about peaking early!

I think he was mostly German -- he just dropped his German name to sound more British. Son of Prince Louis of Battenberg of Austria and a Polish noble mother, but distantly related to Queen Victoria like everyone back then.

The were all inbred -- or something. Correct me if I am wrong.

Harry obviously gets his looks from his real daddy.  Those noses are identical.  You think the Royals do paternity tests, just to be sure?  On a separate note, I'm finding it comical how the media wants to create a fairytale.  They are talking about how Kate comes from a working class family, as if Prince William took her from scrubbing floors to be a princess.  They talk about her as if she comes from a poor family.  She comes from a well-to-do family.

The Orkney summer IMO has been wonderful Ann , blue sky scudding clouds no mugginess odd days off Hare - sea fog- its my first day in London and I am struggling with the air but needs must. Has not this baby thing been retch making the interviews with assorted Carolines and Rupert's outside the Palace had me itching for my Bren gun. I,m away now to work on my prejudices and not be such a republican /  class bigot . big love.

I haven't seen a single thing on telly about it - because I "tape" any shows I want to watch on my Sky+ box so I can zip through the adverts and rewind when I miss something. I don't listen to radio much either. To be honest, I've only read an on-line article or two and I didn't even hear about the birth until the next day when I saw this thread.

Yep, that's right. I read about it here first. I hope they don't  revoke my residency stamp in my passport! ;D

So much for me being a Royalist, eh? I don't mind reading about the royals back in medieval days through the Tudors, but anything after that - meh.

Good to hear Orkney has been enjoying a summer this year too. It's been fabulous here on the Rock - about time we had a summer that lasted more than a fortnight!

Love to you too, sweetness.
