the good news:
Larry is doing a little better every few days and having more good days than bad. Saw the surgeon for the final follow-up and he was very pleased with Larry's progress. WooHoo!

the bad news:
there was a stack of 6 medical bills in the mailbox yesterday and Larry's first insurance disability paycheck came through. a lot of bills and only half the income. ouch!

Really glad to hear Larry is doing so well. Sorry to hear about the bills

another update, this one coming up on Larry's 57th birthday this upcoming Friday:

Larry is still doing well and recovering nicely. We live across the street from the largest park in our city (5 baseball fields, a playground, an exercise area) with a mile and a half walking path. I've been encouraging Larry to daily walks by going with him. While we haven't walked the whole path yet, every day Larry and I have been walking twice a day. We're up to about 3/4 of a mile in about 15 minutes. Not bad considering two weeks ago just walking across the street and getting to the start of the path was all Larry could do.

The problem now is the weather. It's getting colder here in the South....between 50 to 60 in the morning, and dropping quickly as the sun goes down. But I think getting him back into Planet Fitness and onto the treadmill is going to take some time. Can't say I blame him though, last time he was on the treadmill didn't go so well.

Tell Larry I hope he has an amazing (early) Birthday. I know what you mean about the cold… it seemed like we skipped right over fall, as it’s already into the 30s here in Boston. Planet Fitness sounds promising, and bonus you can tan while there 🙌🏻 take care and I’m glad everything is going better with you friend!

omg. I have the black card just for that! I claim it's so I don't burn in the summer when we open up the pool; but really it's because it warms me up in the winter . . . . and keeps my tiny speedo tan line looking good all year round.

I'll pass along your birthday wishes!  ;) :D thanks!
