States girl needs help in the UK??
« on: September 14, 2008, 05:39:22 pm »
Hello everyone. So my story is that is live in the states now and i have a job with benifits. Well i have ADAP which pays for my copays for my meds.so technically I pay nothing for my meds. So my question is that how do people in the Uk pay for their meds? I would be on a workers visa so i dont know if that has a play in it. How is their health care there and do you know of any doctors there? If you could help me that would be great. Thanks :)

If I were you I'd post in the Living With forum for a wider amount of input.

We've got a couple of UK women, but you might get more replies going to the larger forum.

Further, I would ask the member whose name is Newt.

Hello, I'm not sure of how it works, but you can seek advice from the Terence Higgins Trust, they have a help line. You can get their mumber from the website, just google.
By the way welcome to the UK. Sorry about the weather!
Good luck
Pam
