I probably never mentioned this before but I was in retail for a couple of years.  I was General Manager of a western wear/boot company.  We had a sale with searchlights and a prize contest which gave the participants points toward one of many great prizes.  There was no returns on any of the merchandise and that was clearly marked.

One afternoon a lady came in and started buying everything on the western women's rack and she kept buying and buying and buying.  She came back the next day to return everything and I had to tell her the signage saying no returns meant no returns.

My parents taught me, you do not hit a lady and she was like all over me.  A stock boy grabbed her hair to pull her head back right before she bit into my ear.  The police came and took her to County Health for 72 hours for observation.  There had been a State of California Mental Hospital in that town and when Ronald Reagan was Governor of California, he closed that facility.  Many of the patients were left to move into town on their own.  She was one of those patients and she had not been taking her thorazine.  I still have two ears because a minimum wage teenager was quick enough to pull her head back while some unkind god (I put the "g" in lower case to not appear pretentious) left me in retail.  ;D  Have the best day
Michael

This is entertaining! Where were these published, in medical journals? I noticed the advertiser's name, and now I'm wondering when the French sold Smith Kline to Glaxo.

The one for "agitation," kind of a gentle word for the scene portrayed,  but if it were my family you'd see heels like that not on a woman's feet but in her fists fighting back.

And maybe we wouldn't have such problem's with today's youth if we went back to dosing them three times a day with 50-100 ml of Thorazine...I know I'd use it on my nephew if I thought it would keep his mouth shut.  Come to think of it, my parents ought've used it on me for the exact same reason.
