Feeling a bit uneasy
« on: August 06, 2013, 08:30:37 pm »
Ok here goes I had consensual intercourse with a woman I met without discussing her status or anything like that it just kind of got to that point where we ended up having sex I was indeed protected I had a condom on during the entire intercourse (Trojan Magnum), but the woman was on her menstrual cycle we french kissed for a while and I sucked and licked her nipple and body for a bit but not her vigina or nowhere below her vigina we then began to have sex/intercourse when I ejaculated and pulled my protected penis out of her vagina I had a pretty large amount of blood on the condom and some on my pelvic area and some near my testicles I washed these areas clear of the blood with tissue and water before removing the bloody condom and throwing the condom away. Like a day or two later I developed somewhat of a mild sore throat which lasted like 2-3 days & some time during that week for a day or two I developed some what of a nauseated feeling but I was still able to eat and no vomiting occurred. I don't know if these are symptoms or I was just really worried, but I wanted to know if she was HIV+ was the risk high and what are the possibilities I could have contracted anything from this encounter?

Hi Uneasy . The important thing is you had protected intercourse and your glans was covered during sex . HIV is a fragile virus that cannot live outside of the human body .
Once exposed to air it is instantly damaged and unable to infect .

You did not have a risk and you do not need to test for this incident , any sexually active person should have yearly sexual health checkups for ALL STD's as well as HIV . Many STD's can be present without symptoms for some time and much easer to catch than HIV .

The symptoms you are having are in no way specific to HIV and the only way to know your status is to test ... keeping in mind you don't need to test for this no risk incident .

As long as you use condoms correctly and consistently you will avoid HIV , its that simple .

pulled my protected penis out of her vagina I had a pretty large amount of blood on the condom and some on my pelvic area and some near my testicles I washed these areas clear of the blood with tissue and water before removing the bloody condom and throwing the condom away. This all occurred on a Monday Morning around 4:00 a.m., like a day or two later I developed somewhat of a mild sore throat which lasted like 2-3 days & some time during that same week for a day or two I developed some what of a nauseated feeling but I was still able to eat and no vomiting occurred. I don't know if these are symptoms coming on from HIV Infection or if I was just really stressed and worried. but I wanted to know if she was HIV+ was the risk high and what are the possibilities I could have contracted anything from this encounter?

You didn't have a risk and I have already answered your questions . Please read what I wrote here in your thread .

You only have one more free question so use it wisely . Thanks .

Sorry bout that last one I didn't mean to repost that but I wanted to also state that this happen like on July 29 2013 and those following symptoms followed that encounter I also wanted to mention that I sort of developed some kind of canker sores on my tongue and partically in my jaw areas that's lasted for some time now along with some aches in my legs and knee areas I think this is because of the type of work I do it involves a lot of standing and walking but i don't know, but as you say I had no risk and these would not be any kind of symptoms related to an HIV contraction so I shouldn't stress and worry about that last encounter as a potential high risk encounter as I should be okay as in I did not contract HIV

Thanks for all your help on this one Jeff G very appreciated
