Hi ,
In November, I had protected intercourse and performed unprotected oral sex on a women of unknown hiv status . I started to worry after reading on the CDC website that unprotected oral sex is a risk for transmission . Yesterday , I took an oraquick advance rapid hiv test 9 weeks after exposure and the results were negative . The counselor told me that officially a test at 12 weeks a considered conclusive , but under my circumstances , she didn't recommend testing again for this exposure . I am ready to put this incident behind me , but I would like to get one of the moderator's opinions whether I should get another test in 3 weeks or if I can safely put this behind me ?
Thanks ,

You were not at risk of contracting HIV from oral sex and you didn't have a risk of contracting HIV from protected sex.

I agree with the counselor. There was never a need for testing about this incident. The important thing is that you used a condom for intercourse. The only proven risks for HIV transmission are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. Everything else is strictly theoretical in terms of risk.
There's no need for further testing.
Cheers.
