How did I do? not sure about the mimeographed tests....we never sniffed them, but they did smear ink on your hands....sometimes people would try to go through the garbage for those old master things that they used to run off the tests......

Hell, I was born in 69, I knew some of the questions though. So I'm not quite a newbie but not yet an old timer, so what does that make me? Wishes I coulda been born a lil earlier cause I heard Woodstock was the shiznit!

Just because I can answer these questions does not make me either old nor a geezer. I thought you could only be a geezer if you were past 70 and once you hit 80 or so you become older than dirt. Actually, here's to all of us growing up to be really, really old geezers.

In regard to the "leg painting" during WW2....i remember it was a line up the back of the leg made with eyebrow pencil to look like a seam. Never heard of leg painting but it sounds hot.

Geeze, I got them all except for the Indian Princess one. I surprised myself by getting Studebaker correct - that was a semi-educated guesstimate.
I always got the job of licking the Green-stamps and putting them in the book. My mother always said she hoped it would glue my mouth shut and keep me quiet for a while. Just like sniffing mimeographed paper, it never worked. :D My mother told me about the leg-painting trick - I seem to remember something about using tea (or similar?) to stain the leg overall as well, to complete the illusion of a stocking. Used to hear about how her and her sister had to put a new piece of cardboard inside their shoes everynight as well, because of the holes. Got that one every year when my mother and I disagreed over the style of my new school shoes. ::) (you're lucky you're getting new school shoes... when I was your age blah blah blah)

I missed the Mills Brothers.
But I remember the wax bottles filled with sugar water, or whatever it was. We used to chew the wax and then cover our teeth with it. I also remember the wax lips. They were fun too!
My aunt had the Studebaker. I wish I still did.
I love Blackjack gum. It was kind of wintergreen flavored.
I had skates that needed a key to tighten to my sneakers.
I remember the air raid sirens going off at 12:15 p.m. on either the first or second Tuesday of every month, at which time we did the duck and tuck exercise at school. It wouldn't do a damn bit of good had an A-bomb fallen, but it gave people a sense of security, I guess.
I always sniffed the mimeographed papers. Never got high, but loved the smell.
My pickup truck still has the dimmer switch on the floorboard. (Yep, its an oldie.)
Quick, pass me my cane and get outta my way. I'm heading to the casino! (LOL)
