Treatment for belly fat

Check the above artical out. I think this might work great for people that suffer with belly fat or any other areas of the body to which HIV meds have affected.

Mystery,

This treatment might work for subcutaneous fat, but I doubt it would work for abdominal fat caused by hiv meds. This type of fat isn't under the skin, it's deep inside the abdomen, in-between the vital organs.

There's not a lot that I know of in this area, but here are a few suggestions.

You might want to keep an eye on the new drug application for tesamorelin.  See here: http://www.drugs.com/nda/tesamorelin_090603.html

There is also a clinical trial investigating the use of leptin for treatment of lipodystrophy.  You can find that link here:  http://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT00025883

A very small leptin study has shown that there is significant benefit in terms of reducing visceral fat.  You can find that paper here:  http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19174500

Sorry, none of it is exactly news, but it's the best I can do.
