Super Bowl Prediction
« on: February 06, 2010, 04:46:03 am »
This is going to be a thrashing, I think.

Colts 45   Saints 24

I'm rooting for the Saints, however. Enjoy the game y'all!

The Colts will beat the Saints so bad they will be looking for extra hurricane relief funding when it's done.   Is it just me or does Saints Qb Drew Brees look like John-Boy Walton with that big poop stain on his cheek?

We got us a good one, Miami. This is the first Super Bowl since 1994 when both conference's No. 1 seeds reached the Super Bowl. Heck, well into December it seemed actually plausible that the Saints and Colts might possibly both be 18-0 coming here. So why is Indy such a clear favorite? Experience, and Peyton Manning (not necessarily in that order). But I'm not buying it. The Colts faced the run-oriented Ravens and Jets in the playoffs, while the Saints faced the pass-happy Cardinals and Vikings -- meaning New Orleans might be more prepared for what it will face Sunday than Indianapolis. I think Drew Brees will be up to the Manning challenge, especially against Indy's young cornerbacks. I think the Saints offense is better balanced. I think the Saints' special teams are clearly superior. I like Sean Payton in the coaching matchup. Indy I give the defensive edge, but Dwight Freeney's injury helps offset that. With teams of this accomplishment a lot of it comes down to hunch 'n gut, and here's mine: Who Dat!

American Football League Jan. :D

As I am a native louisianian and a lifelong Saints fan I want them to win desperately but even if they don't I'll be proud that this team has gone farther than any other.  I believe Shockey will be out of this game however which is a major problem for the Saints.  I don't think the Colts are the clear favorite everyone predicts however.  Only time will tell.  For what it's worth I hope the Saints humiiliate the Colts and make franchise history with a superbowl win.  Lord knows Louisiana could use somethin!

Lady Jan, I presume that [like moi] you are a big Rugby fan.  Aren't you?

Was that a mistake, Trey?

Sorry to tell ya, but your hope will probably be the way that it's gonna go.  Not a fan of the Colts (Jets fella here), but I predict you's gon' get a whooping.

Everytime I hear that song now, I see you smiling and singing at Fenway Park!

As for the Super Bowl -- who cares -- the Patriots aren't playing, so I'm just going to record it and fast-forward to all the commercials.

Damn, I've screwed up big time.  My two year old and I just polished off my whole bag of Tostitos with salsa and the game ain't even close to starting yet.

I boycotted this annual monstrosity and went out for crabmeat soup dumplings in Chelsea with a swarthy, hairy 29 year old Turkish man.  I still got it goin' on.

Jan, a baseball game isn't complete without a hotdog!  I've eaten several at Wrigley, pulling for the Cubbies.
