R.I.P. Sheba
« on: December 19, 2007, 01:40:56 pm »
I just went with Abbey & Rob to put Sheba to sleep.

One of the big dogs ran into her pretty hard last night, and she got a nasty nosebleed.  When the vet took x-rays, he found a large tumor between her cranium and snout. There was a lot of bone already missing, and he couldn't stop the bleeding.

I've had to do this 3 times in as many years, and it doesn't get any easier.  At least I was able to be there for Abbey & Sheba. We have no idea how old she was. Supposedly she was 9 or 10 when Abbey adopted her, and that was 10 years ago.

I am so sorry about Sheba.  I was just posting in the Women's Forum about how much I miss my dog Casie.  Its been really rough on me lately, so I sympathize with what you're feeling tonight.  You're in my thoughts.
