Christine's been admitted.
« on: February 22, 2007, 10:01:06 PM »
Hello, this is Christine's husband. She was admitted to the hospital today for what they believe to be fungal meningitis. She has had fever, chills, and a horrible headache for the past 2 days. Anyway, she is in good hands, her doctor is very good. She told me I had to post on the forum for her as soon as I got home so that everyone knows what is going on. She cares for everyone here very much and has had a very rough time for quite awhile now, please keep her in your thoughts.

Thanks,

Chris

Chris, thanks for letting us know what's up. Here's hoping her hospital stay is a short one and Chris & Chris are quickly reunited at home.

Hope you're doing well too.

Cheers,
Andy Velez

Well, I just got back from the hospital and things are looking better! It looks like she is just having a very bad reaction to her new meds. The meningitis tests came back negative, and she is feeling better. They think it was the AZT that caused most of this. Her red blood cell count is very low along with her blood pressure, and she is still getting fevers. She still has some recovery to go through, but at least it doesn't appear to be an OI. She thanks everyone here for your support and looks forward to writing her own posts soon.

sooooo happy to hear she doesn't have an OI. I am sorry to hear she didn't react too well to the new meds. What is important is that she is not in danger and she is better. Thanks for keeping us posted. Our prayers helped.
