HIV in Bees? You bee the judge!

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. Feb 12, 2007 (AP)— A mysterious illness is killing tens of thousands of honeybee colonies across the country, threatening honey production, the livelihood of beekeepers and possibly crops that need bees for pollination.

it goes on to say....

Cox-Foster said an analysis of dissected bees turned up an alarmingly high number of foreign fungi, bacteria and other organisms and weakened immune systems.

In the meantime, beekeepers are wondering if bee deaths over the last couple of years that had been blamed on mites or poor management might actually have resulted from the mystery ailment.

"Now people think that they may have had this three or four years," vanEnglesdorp said

LIFE is not a race to the grave with the intention of arriving safely
in a pretty and well-preserved body, but, rather to skid in broadside,
thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming--WOW! WHAT A
RIDE!!!

There have been two serious diseases affecting honey bees.  One is a mite that infests their breathing tubes, and weakens them.  The other is bacterial I think.  When the end game comes, and you're laid low by the primary disease, everything piles on, be you bee or human.

Who said they got it from sex?  Maybe the bees were sharing needles with a few of us?

As one who refers to bees as Satan Bugs... I can't say this is bad news.

Yes, I know they're good for pollination, and honey (which is nothing more than bee vomit, I might add) is pretty awesome... but I am terrified... absolutely scared to death... petrified... of bees.

Because they are evil incarnate.

So I say, Go BeeAIDS, Go!

Did I have some bad childhood experiences with bees that totally disproved "leave them alone, and they'll leave you alone?"  Yes.  Yes, I did.
Your tastebuds can't repel flavor of this magnitude!
