Hey Guys,

How are you all doing? Got the bloodwork results today and the CD4s are more or less the same, but there is a slight blip in the viral load. I guess, what it means is that I'm not undetectable anymore!  :(

No meds yet though, and I'm really glad about that!  :)

CD4 - 1300
CD4% - 47%
VL - 97

Can/Will my VL come down to undetectable again or will it continue rising from now on?

Sorry, I just re-read that you are not taking meds... so that invalidates my reply.

The bottom line is that it is trends, and not individual results that are the key. a VL of 97 without meds is impressive!
NB. Any advice about HIV is given in addition to your own medical advice and not intended to replace it. You should never make clinical decisions based on what anyone says on the internet but rather check with your ID doctor first. Discussions from the internet are just that - Discussions. They may give you food for thought, but they should not direct you to do anything but fuel discussion.

Hell your numbers are better than a person without HIV almost.

Keep on doing whatever it is you're doing.

There are reports the supplement selenium helps reduce viral load and increase CD4 counts.   It's a vitamin at any drug store.  My own doc felt it was worth trying.

I only know of one other person who has never taken meds who claims to have an undectable viral load and high CD4 counts like yours.

You are quite lucky so far.   Congrats!
