AMG 2007 T-Shirt Design Competion
« on: January 31, 2007, 09:35:49 PM »
This is an open call to everyone on the forums, past & present.  It has been suggested to me to hold a  com petion for our Tshirt design for AMG 2007. So all you talented artist out there get your thinking caps on and summit  designs for this fund raising effort. All profits from the sale of the shirts will go directly to the Grants Committee.  Even if you aren't planning on attending the gathering this will be a great way for everyone to feel involved in our annual tradition & you do not have to attend to purchase a shirt.  & the winner of the contest wins knowing that we can each bring home a sentimental souvenir that will be cherished by many of us. I look foreward to seeing what your talented minds come up with.

The contest will run for 3 months Feb, March & April & voting will be during the month of May. That will give us plenty of time to come up with a design, vote & have the shirts printed by Sept.

The only requirements for the shirt are that the design can not say Aidsmeds on them.

Our dear RAB has suggested using the golden gate bridge as a possible  theme for this years gathering.

Quote RAB:

"When I think about it, at AMG we do build a bridge.  A bridge of compassion.  A bridge of understanding.  A bridge of healing.  A bridge of hope.  A bridge to forgiveness."

So,  Anyone up to this challenge?

Hi Dan

Hope you are keeping well.

I'm off to Aussie 0n the 4th of Feb for a couple of weeks..but I will try and come up with something when I get back..hope you just want something simple..if not then I'm out of the running...my imagination is not that great...but if I really work on it I'm sure I could come up with something that would look a little like the "Golden gate Bridge".. ;).

I think this is a great idea ..and a fun one.

Take care and I'll see you when I get back from Aussie.

BTW..anyone wanting to pass on a hug for Steve (fearless) and Matty..just let me know and I will make sure they get them... ;)

Hugs
Jan :-*

Thanks Jan, I knew that you would get into the spirit of the competion. I can't wait to see what else you come up with.

Have fun with Little Steve & the Damned one. Give Steve a big hug for me.

How wonderful! I don't know how to post pictures but going by Jan's design...how about showing the bridge, blue water underneath and the heart setting in the background (with that beautiful sunset glow around it) and AMG written on the heart..

Just a couple ideas.
LIFE is not a race to the grave with the intention of arriving safely
in a pretty and well-preserved body, but, rather to skid in broadside,
thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming--WOW! WHAT A
RIDE!!!

This project is becoming too difficult for me to handle at the present time. My main focus right now should be getting over this very bad case of the flu. When I started this thread I was nursing a very high fever, so I wasn't thinking at my best when I wrote it.  My toes will not be stepped on if someone else wants to take over the design aspect of this project. I will be more than happy to keep up with the orders. I spoke to Dennis a few days ago via PM and he agreed that it would be a good idea if the Grants Comimittee handled the $ side of things.
